I worked in a Detroit middle school(not a teacher) but I wouldn't do it again. Those girls hit puberty and are too flirty. Don't have to deal with that in high school because 40% are lesbian or bi. And for the most part more mature (though you do have some flirty girls there as well). So salute on that but not for me.

I don't even let the girls here put their hand on my shoulder.I'm extra cautious about stuff like that.Some girls might come up for a hug and it literally looks like i'm stiff arming them .I know it probably looks bad and I have been talked to about that but I don't want to be put in that position.

Post a pic of your classroom. Did you decorate it yourself? Are you one of those "cool" teachers? or are you a strict by the books kinda guy?

I didn't decorate it. I got the job like 5 days before the school year started so I was running all over the place.My classroom looks basic as shyt .A couple of female teachers helped me out though.

I work for the Y in afterschool programs and I made that same mistake of trying to be cool. I snapped on them after 2 weeks. Now they know Mr.Game and Watch don't fuk around
