My granddad did this. It wasn't cancer, but some other shyt he knew was terminal. Didn't say a word and when it was time to die he told my grandma he had to go see the doctor and checked himself into the hospotal where they put him on morphine and started operating even though he didn't want them to. He never fully regained consciousness
