I found out at my college graduation party that my dad had fukked up stomach issues and had blood in his stool. I knew immediately it was cancer. He got tested a few weeks later, and sure enough it was cancer. He died 3 years later

Congrats on graduating tho. I can't blame op for feeling a way, his dad knew since September, he could've waited at least 1 more day. I know someone who found out recently that they have cancer and it was right before her daughter's wedding, so she waited til after they came back from their honeymoon to tell the news. There's never a right time to say something like this, but there is a wrong time imo.
