So you're going to quit on some bullshyt :beli:

Thats what happens when you sell a house. Let me know when you decide to buy again. surely not in Ithe millions. Neither do I :mjlol: ..in Louisiana :rudy:

I'm just going on a limb here:

I don't think you're prepared to start your own firm and you're going to regret not starting the business RIGHT NOW while you have a job.

Little nigg@s always want to measure up to Big dogs. Not even try to top me. I'm not competition with you lame. You talking about money you suppose to be making, I'm talking already made. im not even bragging, just living and taking a chance.

Youre just a loser in life, no options. Keep slaving for that CAC toby for a good job. :mjlol:

I think you're being a little bytch.

1. 10 years in a high paying job ain't nothing.

2. I honestly believe you should think about getting another degree (MBA?) or switch careers...HORIZONTALLY...don't go into something making less than you make now

3. grind it out. What is there for you in Louisana

I know people love the "do what you love" trope...but its largely bullshyt and repeated by people who make their living in entertainment mostly.

Most times we do what we must so that we can later do what we want.
You speak like a nikka who has never made a dollar. Personal happiness does matter breh.

Family is all that there is. I've made a lot of money, have a career, but my life feels empty.

I'm just going to relax in Louisiana for a few months. Get my mind right and look into starting my own business. I don't have the mental to interview or work for anyone right now. My mentally exhausted. I just need to take a few months off and clear my mind. I've saved up enough to take a few years off if I chose to. I just want to workout and spend time with my love one. Money ain't sh:t, especially if it's not big money. I'll probably look into moving to Texas, Cali or ATL in the fall.
I did this recently Stunt. I went back to the A. I was happy as well going back. I left DC with hardly any money and a child. I was stressed and :flabbynsick:. I gained the pregnancy weight and not her :laff: . I went back, Atlanta in my mind had better women, better cost of living, just better. Whatever I did, it was better than DC. Well, I was right. IT WAS MUCH BETTER THAN DC. lol, just kidding. No, I went back. I realized I wasn't missing much. The women of course are better in Atlanta than DC. DC has better looking women but with so much baggage and bad mindsets, it's almost like most of them are ugly as sin in DC while ATL isn't close to perfect, I can find a good girl in Atlanta with sense and marriage material.

You need a break. I would have someone rent out my house for temp status and just stay with the fam for 3 months. Leave the job and travel to Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Seattle, or LA and see how you like it. I would say Atlanta job market isn't that great. I hear great things about Dallas and I did get some calls and interviews from Fort Worth, TX. I never was that interested in Houston. I dated a broad from there and while she was cool. She was a bad decision maker. She choose me in HS, a known player over this respectful success driven nikka. I was just spitting game and had her in 5 mins kissing me and tryna get me to her room. He was being respectful and actually being a gentlemen. shyt, I would have chose me at the time too. :myman: She was bad, here's a pic of her now:

shyt, I deleted the rest of the post. Not needed.

I'm on track to being able to retire with a pension at 48 with like 60% of my salary but I've been thinking of saying fukk all this shyt and get into DJing.

I'm probably going to check out this DJ academy in Atl later year and follow that as a hobby and keep the day job. I take pride in my career just his stress is a bytch, plus 6 day work weeks.

I'm tired bruhs. I can't take this area and lifestyle anymore. I miss my family, I miss the south so much. I've sacrifice so much chasing this money. I've been here almost 10 years, never loved it here. I've always wanted to leave, I've been waiting for a good opportunity to leave. I'm starting to believe there isn't going to be a perfect, I'm just about to go back to Louisiana for a few month. Workout, get my mind and spirit right. I've been somewhat depressed lately. This weather, working nightshift and every other Fri, Sat and Sun, missing out on everything. I'm just done. No more to give. Money don't mean sh:t anymore, I saved a lot. The only thing holding me up is my lease which ends July 18th. I was going to try and make, but I can't. I'm mentally exhausted.

Any suggestion on moving companies or how to break a lease w/o having to pay 1000s of dollars?

:dead: ten years doing overnight on the weekends? I wouldn't have taken the job unless I'm 40 with kids

This nikka isn't WORTH six figures, he just gets paid that much. BARELY too.

Graduate school + professional school = win. Thats all you're getting.
You're in medical school my nikka? Law school dont count nikka :pachaha:

And if someone is willing to pay you six figures, career-wise youre worth that much. Thats the definition of worth... what someone is willing to pay for something. You trying to offer this nikka advice is like a lil JV nikka trying to tell Kobe what his next move should be :heh: :camby:

From past comments and people's comments about you, I take it you work in IT. You live in a main hub of IT in our country (DC/MD/VA), very good market for the line of work you are doing. You are working graveyard's? That alone can be stressful if that's not the hours you want, some people can handle and others can not. Since you possess some sort of skill set, you ever apply externally for better hours? That will help your morale and in help your overall health/outlook.. You can work out, get your mind and spirit right - right where you area. Now if you are passionate about going back to your home state that's fine, it's tough living away from family but people do it all the time. It sounds like the night shift hours and working weekends are messing you up mentally which indirectly is messing up your health. I think you need to reevaluate your entire situation and take it from there.

You are in the richest region in the country working a decent job and miserable? Money def does not buy happiness so good luck in finding that

The thing about the IT field and a lot of fields. You can make 100k in DC, decent money, but you can't relax.

Why can't you relax?

There's a ceiling. It's hard to make 150k-200k.

What's that ceiling and how is it hard to achieve that in that region where you are working? I know engineers and dentist/doctors etc who are achieving that in that region

Right now, I'm taking a few months off to relax, travel, spend time with my family, research investments and business ideals, workout. Do me.LIVE LIFE!!!

There is nothing wrong with taking time off if you feel that will strengthen your health and regather your drive and focus. However understand that you can still travel, spend time with family and research investments and business ideals currently if you are motivated.
