knowing that everyone is going to die, i don't see how you could be afraid of death. it's part of life. i think i'm more afraid of seeing people i'm close to (family, et. al.) die than i am of myself.

My kid is an only child. I think about that too, I die and she is all alone. I need to adopt.

Yes it is the unknown but I know for sure that thread made me aware of how afraid I am of dying. The not knowing when it will happen. I even called my doctor for a check up. I was due anyway but that made take action and make the appt. Hopefully it will pass soon

i used to fear it until i got in my wreck. I fishtaled went into an electrical pole in like 2006 like 3 miles from home.

i dont fear death anymore. its just either a series of events or natural causes can take your life.

Ya know, before I was brought into this world against my will, seems as though I was doing alright. I really don't see how death can be much different from not being born. Does any religious book or anything say anything about how the "soul" comes to be or anything? Is it just magically created at conception or what? Does it already exist and then is kinda just shoved into meat? I'm not religious or looking for any religion. Just curious.

Like someone said, I'm not afraid of dying really. I just don't want to yet. I wanna meet my true love first. I'd like to have kids. See a bit of the world. Nothing outrageous, ya know. I'd just like to live a little before I kick it.

Plus, there have been some really lame coward ass people in this world. And I figure, if they can die and not make a big fukkin deal about it, why can't it?

The cells your body is comprised of die every second so you are always dying and being reborn again. Death is apart of the cycle of life. Our culture is taught to fear it and we are ignorant of a natural occurrence like so many other things. We don't want to die but I question myself in a healthy way sometimes and ask "what exactly am I holding on to here that's so great?" I usually realize it's nothing because everyone else will go someday too....all the other stuff is material.
