I'm not, everyone dies. Why fear something that is natural?

I've had a few near death experiences and they taught me to appreciate life,e very day, do what I want, accomplish what I want to accomplish.

I can go out tomorrow with a smile on my face if necessary.

Ya know, before I was brought into this world against my will, seems as though I was doing alright. I really don't see how death can be much different from not being born. Does any religious book or anything say anything about how the "soul" comes to be or anything? Is it just magically created at conception or what? Does it already exist and then is kinda just shoved into meat? I'm not religious or looking for any religion. Just curious.

Tough questions...

Everyone is afraid of death; until you kill yourself purposely you prove you're afraid. Anyone saying otherwise is just a lying bytch trying to look 'tough.'

Eh, you're going to die sooner or later whether you're afraid of it or not, so no point in letting it bother you. :manny:

JRR Tolkien referred to mortality in his legendarium as the gift of Ilúvatar (read God)

Achilles to Briseís:
“Can I tell you a secret? The gods envy us. They envy us because we’re mortal, because any moment may be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we’re doomed. You will never be lovelier than you are now. We will never be here again.“

Actually I never thought about it until a few weeks ago there was this thread on here that had the title, two sentences 20 Terrifying Two-Sentence Horror Stories
Anyway this particular one freaked me out:

11. I was having a pleasant dream when what sounded like hammering woke me. After that, I could barely hear the muffled sound of dirt covering the coffin over my own screams.

Since I read that thread I have been having nightmares about being buried alive and what will happen when I die. I get knots in my stomach and I cant watch First 48 anymore (one of my favorite shows) :sadcam:
Wtf happened to AZ?
