When i was a young nikka in my innocence, pre-porn, i clasped my hands together, closed my eyes and prayed to God, Jesus, desperately asking for help for my chronic illness. and guess what... nothing happened.

you learn to accept your flaws but your faith goes out the window.

The only time i pray now is when i'm shook, that's the only time it feels genuine.

I left the church around 16 :yeshrug:

I used to always pray the night before parent teacher conference because I knew I was going to get my ass beat in front of all my teachers and friends. Sometimes it worked and my mom was too busy to show up. Other times, I caught epic ass whoopings in front of the entire school. I say prayer was 50/50 for me so I kept playing the odds.

See here's the thing, we perceive it . If you get a result "prayer works", if you don't "you need faith".... I probably had more success not praying.

I say the lord's prayer and it's like the current state of my life flashing before eyes. Good to say in the morning.

When I say it I usually don't do the evil things I'm compelled to do.

Scripture says you don't need to waste a lot of time praying. It's all wrapped up in the prayer

I hear you breh. I don't care for the church but my faith in God is still there.

God has come through for me many times in ways I never expected, and when I was about to give up hope. Also, when I didn't lose hope I was rewarded.

I just read the Bible when I can, but I don't care for these clowns jumping up and down in church acting like uncooth fools.
