For everyone who doesnt know, all they really need is your name and it isnt hard to google everything else. I can go online and in 10 minutes know who is related to me, my last known address, some of my phone number, and a bunch of stupid shyt I would ever have guessed since I dont post to social media. Hide your address all you want but it doesnt take much to get it.

Its public long before that.

not i. first of all my name is super generic so good luck just using that. then i actually went on all the websites that had my name and contact info (like those fake ass background check sites) and got listings removed. you can request that and it only takes a few days to take it down. now the only place you can find my name/address is the county property website but i don't even think they let you search by name.

I stopped putting my address on my resume years ago, and besides LinkedIn, I don't have any social media (no Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, etc.). Good luck finding anything incriminating on me.

I’m not a psycho, so I don’t Google phone numbers (I’ll def find your socials, though ), but OMG I googled my number and my addy, etc popped up and I was in shock!

I only give out my Google # when I initially meet someone. This shyt is serious.

I’m a hiring manager at my job. I look at everything:

Google your name, email addy & phone #
Creep on your unlocked socials if I can find them
Look at your contacts on linkedin

I do it to existing and potential customers too for marketing as part of my contract stalking.

Put too much info on your resume/LinkedIn then people get bored and creep all the time. Why do you think all those attractive female recruiters put their glamour shots up like they're on Instagram? They know people are going to start clicking and creeping.

The HR chick was weird for letting it slip in casual conversation. But most people just mumble to themselves "weirdo" and keep it moving cause they got better shyt to do. It must be exhausting going thru life whenever someone does slightly weird shyt and responding with overly long TikTok videos on some "Grrrlllllll let me tell you about white people!" shyt.
