That was customary until maybe…not too long ago? Definitely for the last generation. I don’t do it, but it was definitely standard for a long time.

Maybe I’m the ignorant one, but I’ve never done it. I just list my email, phone # and the city / state I live in

it can be crazy yeah. These HR peeps can be a bit insane and people put so much info online it’s easy to find.

Most of my social media public wise, is generic, no government, throwaway email. Etc. anything personal it’s private account. Some of us are lucky and we haven’t put too much about ourselves online to the point that shyt pops up in the first pages of google.

Unfortunately that’s way it is these days. Assume you’re being googled. Google yourself too.

not i. first of all my name is super generic so good luck just using that. then i actually went on all the websites that had my name and contact info (like those fake ass background check sites) and got listings removed. you can request that and it only takes a few days to take it down. now the only place you can find my name/address is the county property website but i don't even think they let you search by name.

My niece was up for a Supervisor Job at Boeing and then they checked her Facebook page.

She posts all kind of ignant, hoe, thot, ratchet, ghetto shyt on there.

I’m a hiring manager at my job. I look at everything:

Google your name, email addy & phone #
Creep on your unlocked socials if I can find them
Look at your contacts on linkedin

I do it to existing and potential customers too for marketing as part of my contract stalking.

Ummm it's 2022, putting your addy on your resume doesn't matter, just about anything is available in public records. I say this as someone who does skip tracing.

Yes people who interview you may also linked in creep social media creep and damn sure judge you based upon significant other. It’s a lot of bs that goes into Being hired. Also yes more attractive people tend to get hired for certain jobs also. Especially consumer facing positions.
