I'm confident once Vince leaves it'll be better

Vince not seeing it in Steve is still a head scratcher.

You can go look back at Stunning Steve in 1993/94 on those WCW Saturday nights and see Stone Cold coming
Not for real. A lot of people like to Monday Morning QB this. Stunning Steve Austin was memorable, but at the time nobody was looking at him like "if he just got a shot". He was right about where he should have been in WCW, a midcard tag-team level guy.

I'm not "a lot of people" tho.

I was actually watching those WCW Saturday nights live in the early 90's (sadly at times)

Dude had the promo ability and in ring intensity even then as a tag wrestler/mid card singles. Especially the flair for the gold era or the Ricky steamboat feud in 94

And as I stated if you watch back those old shows as the educated fan I'm sure you are now you can see Stone Cold coming in that character circa 1994

I was watching WCW too at the time. He was a memorable guy, but people are lying if they saw "Stone Cold" level talent there already. I mean dude even had to refine his mic work in ECW before he got to WWF.

We're gonna have to agree to disagree breh

I remember him standing out even then because he had flashes of brilliance with his strong willed but ultimately cowardly heel act and I feel history is on my side if you go back and peep his WCW stuff with what you now know on how to evaluate a talent.

Didn't say he was "Stone Cold level" then that'd be ridiculous. .. I said you can see Stone Cold coming in 93 based on what he was showing and I stand by it.

Not sure if you've watched that stuff since then since it's been 20 plus years but I do believe you'll see the same flashes if you download those torrents since they're taking forever to add WCW Saturday night to the network.

Vince is old and senile but he's been for a VERY LONG time and low-key always has been.

Those who think Hunter is going to make WWE FUN AGAIN are in for disappointment
yeah I don't get the premise of this thread vince has next to nothing to do with the jamboree stuff on the network and 205, nxt and the uk shyt are all:russell:

We've all heard stories about Vince not "seeing" the star in certain guys who went on to be huge top stars in the biz. Most recently perhaps in Daniel Bryan.

But the other day, Bruce Prichard was talking about how Vince "didn't see it" in Austin. And Jake, Bruce, and Patterson had to convince Vince to give Austin the ball. Really?! I saw it happening as a kid, other fans saw it too.

I'm not saying Vince hasn't done great things. Phenomenal even. But it's clear he doesn't see even the biggest stars ever in his business....and then he sees it in guys like Drew McIntyre.

It stands to reason that there's alot of guys who will have a better chance of realizing their potential once Vince steps down.

I mean we've suffered thru the John Cena era the past 11-12 years b/c Vince played it super safe.

Nah Vince has vision.

If it was up to the fans, there would be no fans.

Vince knows something small like... make AJ lose his first Mania... get the fans upset... then make him win the next night for #1 contender.

He knew EXACTLY how to build him.

The problem isn’t Vince per se.

The problem is Vince is doing too much at an older age and he just doesn’t have the time to pay attention to detail.

Vince needs JR. Patterson, Cornette, Prichard etc. actual wresting minds to handle the rest of the show for him and keep him on point.

I don’t have this overwhelming surge of confidence in HHH & Stephanie running the place like many others do. I think the company either stays how it is or gets worse once Vince goes.

Stephanie been in charge of creative for 15 years. HHH is also right there. theres a reason those 2 are always on the scene, stealing the spotlight. you're out of your mind if you think it will be "better"

It doesn't just depend on what HHH/steph choose to do. A lot of it depends on where society itself is.

Obviously, the most successful era in history would NOT get 1 inch off the ground today. Much like the white meat baby face approach was a dead end in the 90s.

Who knows what the general vibe of society will be in 10-15 years?

Wcw trying to bring back the red and yellow vitamins and prayers Hogan in the prime of attitude era was humorous
