That is not the case across the board, different states/municipalities have different applications of this. There are various scenarios where men have been put on the hook. People are being put on the hook for even living with someone for 3 months(not even married). It is still a dice roll when it comes to the court system. Not something to be taken lightly. I'm not saying do not do it, but I wouldnt be quick to live under the same roof before the children reach adult hood.
