That's totally false. You must have been really young, or stoned out of your mind when he first came out. He had two records in the clubs, multiple joints on mixtapes and he was really awkward and swaggerless back then. So he was going to have his moment regardless, his music was making waves even when he was presenting himself to the public in the most boring way.

I think the better angle is "He wouldn't still be around today if not for social media". But you can say that about a lot of folks. And he doesn't really need media outlets like Ebro's show or The Breakfast Club to keep his name buzzing, if that's what you're implying.

Weird statement, especially in the TMZ era. Controversy travels fast and he's often in the middle of some. You're still wrong though, you just see what you want to see. Budden irritates me sometimes but not enough for me to hate on him.
