I guess it depends on where you were. I was Uptown and I felt like 50 was already kinda big by the time Budden album dropped. But to be fair I wasn't really buying mixtapes from Queens DJs, so I think that's how I missed out on the 50 vs Budden debate. Budden got a lot of support from the Queens DJs.

Uptown the debate was if Budden or Juelz was hotter.

I was just showing you that your statement was wrong. If you aren't a hater and you just forgot about the good stuff then whatever. But even trying to pretend like Budden's Drake diss tracks didn't matter is doing too much. He doesn't have a platform even close to what Meek had, but Budden dissing Drake still became a big thing. This isn't even remotely true. Budden was huge when he first came out. He ran the mix tapes with G-Unit and Dipset and Fabolous.

People like to pretend that this wasn't the case. Budden might be a twitter honey now but he was one of the biggest artist of the mixtape golden era.
