So what youre saying in that black people in Harlem smell? :mjpls:

Nah I know the exact smell he’s talking about. That smell that comes with this humid ass weather.

But I’m wondering where he was cause I can imagine 125th having that smell but not that corner where seasoned vegan is because it’s a pretty residential block.

Where in Harlem were you? Last time I was there, I was in Hamiltom Heights and it was not that white, and that's one of the most gentrified parts. It seemed way more Hispanic than black, though.

I do feel Harlem world had a much more larger Hispanic growth than white.

But it’s mainly Dominicans so black folks aren’t going to make a huge uproar about it.

Walk east on 125th street until you hit Lenox Ave/Malcolm X Blvd. Walk up 4 blocks and go here:

:ohlawd:

If you're vegan then don't bother.

Apparently Travel Noir had this spot listed as the best soul food in the whole State of NY.

I never been here.

They are trying to rename that area "soha", south harlem. It like most places we are in nyc didnt look like that 10 years ago. I'm from further up a hun 30's but am in that area often. Some of that odor is from morningside and central park and fertilizer used in meridians diving south/north traffic. 110th-112th on lenox though be funky from the homeless. There's a halfway between lenox and 7th called the Cambridge Hotel. That's why so many homeless are there and along central north benches.

They are trying to ban the renaming of hoods also. They know there is racism behind it.

I'm out here now, turned the corner on 126th, went a coffee shop not a single Black person inside :mjlol:

Edit: Just realised I"m a ten minute walk from Columbia, explains everything.

Yea you sound like you are close to Morningside Heights.

That use to be Harlem since Columbia made that an entire separate hood.

Did I recommended Season Vegan to you or did you just find it on your own?

The food there is great and pretty cheap.

I wish that someone in Brooklyn had an equivalent.
I found out about it online. I had the Po Boy which was really good. The mac and "cheese" was okay, I've probably made better faux mac and cheese.

I was literally right on the corner of Malcolm X Boulevard by the station entrance.

Ahhh Malcom X sounds about right.

I tried Chocolat a few weeks back. Black owned. Very good shrimp and grits with lobster sauce.

Where are you from?
