Ottawa is quiet, clean, pretty, safe, polite...a great place to live if you're an old person.

Got a few friends out there & it's fun to visit when they have cool shyt going on (House of Paint graffiti festival) but I could never live out there.

I'm too much of a party animal. :manny:
Ottawa is like the Laval of Canada.

EDIT: just fixed the quote. sorry about misquoting you @Emperor_ReinScarf. for some reason it put your name instead.

We need an official Montreal thread, or maybe we can just use this one. That way anyone who comes to visit will know where to go when they get here. A customized Coli adventure in Montréal

We better use this one. We can keep it alive by maybe posting interesting events or good deals or whatever you guys see fit

The Montreal metro system might be the best in Canada

If only ttc was half as good :wow:

I wish we had trains that are all open where you can walk from one end to the other like the new TTC ones though :sadbron:

And our metro isn't open as late as the TTC :bryan:

But I heard our metro system is one of the best designed in the world and that it was designed by the same dude who did the subway system in Washington, DC or something like that :leon:

I rarely go to Laval. To me it's just residential/suburban with strip malls everywhere :manny:

I'm pretty sure Ottawa is cooler than Laval :umad:

even being from here this is a very inspiring thread. makes me feel like visiting the rest of Canada.

You ever been outside of Québec?

I've been across Canada with the exception of Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Yukon & Newfoundland. Pm me if you want any suggestions or tips :salute:

I'm down!

I used to do daily vlogs on YouTube covering cool Montreal events but I got lazy with it. I should start doing them again :jbhmm:

Lol I did Friday night in Kingston arrived sat morning Montreal left this morning 630am got back like 12

I didn't even stop once straight 5.5 hours

Nice, yeah left 11:30am-ish on Friday, got there around 5:30, and checked into Hotel. Was making killer time until that BS construction nonsense around Whitby. Left around 4:30pm yesterday, got back around 10:30pm, again - halted around Whitby. Straight drive both ways.

Damn, there were at least 4-5 different people from the Coli this weekend..so random!

Heh yeah that's crazy. Only stumbled across the thread cause it made the front page.

Damn dude, you gotta go to Toronto at least!

If you don't drive you can take a bus, train, or ride share out there. If you book you bus ticket online in advance you can find some good deals on Megabus. I've found 1 way tickets for $18-$28 before.

Ride shares are a bit more chill and can be anywhere from $25-$50 one way (usually they're $30-$40). You can find them on Craigslist, kijiji or even Facebook (there's a Toronto-Montreal ride share page somewhere)

And if you're going all the way to Toronto I recommend going the extra hour or two to see Niagara Falls as well. It's fukkin cool and I'm not just sayin that cuz I grew up there.

Vancouver is also a cool city, different weather, different vibe, different scenery (mountains/ocean/beautiful trees & flowers :blessed:), fresh delicious sushi everywhere, etc.

Return airfare from Montreal is like $600-$700 though..almost better spending your money on a trip to Jamaica :pachaha:

I think the thread blew up & got featured when I was arguing with that idiot :skip:

But anyway, you'll just have to come back sometime :umad:

I wouldn't really consider the Eaton Centre to be a Montreal highlight

Can't fukkin stand that place. Malls suck.

:what:
The fukk is your problem?

What kind of shytty life do you live that bullying girls on the internet brings you pleasure?

Here, I have a song I think you will like. I picked it out special, just for you!

I even found the lyrics so you can sing along!

You're welcome :umad:

Toronto and Montreal are so different, I hate to compare them.

I used to live in Toronto. I moved to Montreal and haven't looked back. It's so fun here. :krs:It has this whole vibe that Toronto can't touch.

Both cities have awesome qualities though.
