Sound Reasoning
that's why you don't buy a car like that if you can't afford it.

True, but my statement isn't about affording vs not affording-people seem to find ways to afford what they value. Overall, I just wouldn't like the idea of paying exhorbitant prices for something that cost much less otherwise.

My car is paid off and in good shape overall, so I plan on keeping it for a few more years. But down the line, I may still treat myself to nice European luxury vehicle just because they've begun to catch my eye. Gotta prepare my mind for that maintenance though.

Peace

NEW ERA
I would never buy a car brand new, that depreciation hit... The 2005 DB9 interior isn't that different from the 2013, just subtle changes like the stitching, color options, rearranged knobs, steering wheel etc. Plus the Aston isn't gonna go down that much more in value, my boy bought his for like 55 2 years ago & he can still sell it for about that or a little less. You buy that Alfa for 55k & in two years you're upside down.

$150k msrp'd V12 used Aston for $55k :hula: 55k msrp'd 4Cyl new Alfa Romeo

Maintenance is a mutha on these high end cars. I dropped 259$ for an oil change and 1600$ for brakes and rotor all around on my A8L. You better have that gwap!!!
Glad I know how to do all that shyt myself. You need to learn, its easy as fukk. Theres madd guides and video walkthroughs online.

The starter on my nsx went out so I called the dealership to find out how much it would be. New one was like $900 & change + installation, which would be about close to $4-600. I took the old one out myself & took it to a spot that rebuilds them with brand new internals for $60.

Half the battle I think is diagnosing the problem.

Brehs I've decided. I'm gonna get the Porsche Cayman. I just love the design. Thanks for your input. :salute:

Audi suggests oil changes every 10k miles starting at 5k. I guess the normal driver will does what 20k a year? ok So that's two oil changes per year, sue me. :stopitslime:
That's what Audi suggests, but I've yet to come across someone who drives an Audi as a daily driver who doesn't need an oil change more frequently than that. For me, along with many other A4 owners, my car needs to be topped off every ~3.5K miles, and I often have my oil changed every ~4 to 5K.

:ehh: I have read that most people do go for every 5k depending on what year they have. Though some people do wait for the 10k mark, all depends on your driving style I suppose.

Every manufacturer that offers "free maintenance" stretches out oil changes to at least 10k miles, and the only reason is to lower their costs. No car I drive will go more than 5k miles without an oil change.
