You can get one w/ less than 40k miles for under $35k easily. Part & mods are cheap as fukk compared to other sports cars. Tryna convince my boy w/ the aston to get one, but he wants a 997 911, said he'd kill himself in one of these

Noooo my man, you're not touching a decent 2006+ SRT Viper(like the one pictured) for under $45k, and the parts/modifications are actually the MOST expensive as far as domestic sports cars are concerned(the viper tax is worse than the vette tax). Just those wheels/tires in the picture cost $10k+.

Maserati GT's, like the 2008+ models pictued above in grey are usually $60k+ all day.

Porsches are about the same.

Whatever you buy, make sure YOU like it, because that's a lot of money to spend just to get looks from some women.

You can get a nice C6 Z06 for around 40k with some nice wheels and modifications. Take the extra 25k you would have spent to buy a Viper and buy a G8 GT to cruise around in.

Then you'll have a sexy race car and a nice everyday car. :win:

I was just using that pic to show a viper, but vipers from 2002-2006 are under 45k all day: http://goo.gl/klMBiC (under 60k miles)

Parts for that car are cheap to me, supercharger is only 4-6k. Not even needed on that car. As for wheels, you can get custom spec'd 2-3 pc wheels for $3-6k, HRE's are overrated/overpriced imo. If i were to get a viper I would just have the stocks painted black, put 5-25mm spacers, lower it, add straight pipes & call it a day. About $1-2k to do that. This one looks dope:

997's are in the 30's & 40's all day :comeon: : http://goo.gl/Z793a4

You go pre-06 then yeah they're < 40k, and they should keep dropping since new Gen Vipers are out on the streets now.

No arguments about HRE wheels, I feel the same, but cheap is relative. 3k for SRT headers compared to 1.5k for LSX headers is a big jump. And all car-heads know that the parts aren't the kicker when it comes to mods, it's labor and the build. But you're right ~500whp is enough to get into trouble with. He could spray it for $1-$2k if he wants to keep up with the newer ones, wouldn't need a blower(SC) at all.

Those were older 911 models, and not the newer Turbo S models or GT's. I thought the OP was going for something newer in relation to it being faster, etc. Regardless, you're right, older Porsches can be had for 30,40's.

I was referencing the prices along the lines of the premium versions of the flagship models, those are usually $60k+ consistently regadless of the make(brand).

I wanted to present the idea to the OP to ride around in something new, because personally, I wouldn't want to drop $40,000 on a whip and have it be the old/outdated version when I could save a little more and get the newer/faster/better version.

I love how them XLR (V)'s don't look their age.
you can pick up an 04' on the low and still turn heads.
another + is that it wasn't too popular, being that people thought it was over-priced when in reality you could've went with a European brand or the same price instead. they're rare.

No way you're getting one for less than 60k

This one is nice. My boy has one in silver.

EDIT: Maybe you can Edmunds is saying they're selling 50% off what they sold for which would be around 50k :ohhh:. Talk about a car depreciating in value damn. I think my boy paid around 100k for his :sadcam:
