I just love the East Coast

I'm from Detroit, want to live in a popping city

What's your budget and who/what you want to live around?

Philly honestly isn't that popping of a city. If I moved back, I honestly would live in Northern Liberties. There's a few pockets where there's things going on, but really the biggest selling point on Philly is the colleges and cost of living. You can buy a halfway decent albeit OLD crib for 2-300K and taxes aren't too crazy, but the public schools suck if you have family. If you want to go somewhere that pops, drive up to NYC, DC, or the Jersey shore for a weekend. Philly itself has a few things in the summer, but for the most part it's bars/pubs, very few celebrations and activities outside of sports and casinos.

Lmao what is going on in here.

OP Philly is a great town just depends on what neighborhood like any city. A lot of the city is on a come up with out of town ers moving because it’s cheaper than NY.

Do you want to live close to downtown or further away?

I don't like the disrespect of my city

Roots Picnic
Made in America
July 4th Celebration on the Parkway
Odunde
Night Market
Cinco de Mayo
Fat Tuesday
Cheesesteak Festival
Spruce St Harbor Park
Puerto Rican Day Parade

I'm sure there's a ton more

And you can get some of the best food in the country in Philly

My main hangout spots were Northern Liberties, East Passyunk, Manayunk and University City...felt like I was too :flabbynsick: for South St lol

If you want to meet women, just hang near Penn & Drexel, and shop at Target on City Line aka Thottie Central

Not disrespect, just facts. I lived there for 20 years. I used to work in radio, so I got in mad clubs for free. One of my best friends is the head bouncer at a club I'm not gonna name downtown.

Having traveled to just about every city over a million people in this country, there's 10 other cities with more shyt going on than Philly. I used to hangout downtown, uni city (Copas was and is still my spot), north Philly at some hood ass spots, west Philly Scooters and whatever they call it now...Darby; Fibburs and Carlettes, I've been all over.

I will not have this Norristown slander! :damn: that's my birth town.

Real talk though:
Why are you moving to Philly?
What's your budget?
What kinda neighborhoods you want to have?

I haven't lived in Philly in 5 years, but I still own a crib there and I'm back and forth about 5-6 times a year.

Not knowing what you want, Germantown, Northern Liberties, pockets of South Philly, University City or the far Northeast might be cool for you.

You open to living outside the city or across the bridge (Jersey) or Delaware?
No Norristown slander my man but you know folks always make fun of that shyt.
