Not anymore. Go down south, and no government services or social mobility. Basically, once you move down there, you are trapped! Plus poverty and ignorance is commonplace.

Prop taxes and HOAs are literally edging out my potential budget for places to live, but for all the taxes I pay, good schools, spotless streets, and oodles of services and free events in big parks. I would not go to some bum ass area where everyones favorite past time is driving to places that actually have entertainment or doing meth. Nobody really likes taxation but the freebies we get here in the Chicago area make it worth it if you are caking.

Northern NJ is a prime example of a place that makes good use of their property tax and even have a nice black middle class.


I looked at a house in west orange and was sold immediately on it. I would have no issues paying their ridiculous property tax fees

Huh? The Long Island railroad and Metro North trains which run through the very high property tax areas of NY are nice, clean and well maintained.


NYC property tax is crumbs compared to the suburban property taxes in Westchester and Long Island

trapped how? As a Cali nikka that moved to TX before, the South is easy . nikka literally went out there and rented a house the same day , cash .
