I’m from Atlanta, but I’m too well off to ever feel comfortable moving back there. It would only be a matter of time before someone tries to jack me for my car, or rob me at gunpoint at the mall, or try to run up in my house. Nah. These Cali taxes are high, but I can better insulate myself from degeneracy here. The quality of life is objectively better— if you have the resources, admittedly.
