My Wife said it’s a great movie and has me watching it now.
:beli:
She is asleep right now.
:what:
She’s a TP fan unfortunately. I trust her opinion 95% of the time but when it comes to TP…
:mjlol:
She was braiding our daughter’s hair today and watching Ruthless. If you don’t know what Ruthless is consider yourself lucky.
:francis:
TP he alot of foolery going on in that show.
:dame:
Yeah Ruthless is on some other shyt :russ:

:salute: Props to Tyler Perry for giving Sinbad work. Houseguest is still one of my favorite movies, and I wish nothing but good things for bruh, health and all. That being said, :mjlol:this movie wasn't it lol. I'm usually down for some Tyler Perry fukkery, but he's at his worst when writing about trauma. He goes to the absolute extreme to make us sympathize with his characters. So much so that the trauma comes off as cartoonishly cruel and over the top. I've also noticed this with Oprah and Lee Daniels' movies. Taraji's character gets everything and the kitchen sink thrown at her. That it started to become comical. :russ:Her boss and damn near everyone around her were cartoonishly evil. :ehh:Taraji did her thing tho, I'll give the movie a 5/10.

My wife was watching this when I went to bed last night and I caught maybe 15-20 mins of this before I fell asleep

In that short time Taraji got fired, got evicted, went back for her last paycheck, got robbed, killed the robber, got accused of setting up the robbery by former boss, killed former boss, and then went to the bank and pulled a gun and held them up because they wouldn’t cash her check without an ID :heh:

woke up this morning to a bunch of psychotic black women doing think pieces on this garbage ass movie on social media :mjlol:

My girl keeps begging me to watch this with her. I guess all of her friends in their little weird cipher has watched it and love it. They are talking about it nonstop in their group chats

I have been avoiding watching this because of course it’s Tyler Perry. I think now I will put on Saw and hope she does not notice. After about 20 minutes or so she should be ready to tap out and give it up

Stay strong Brother. I got lucky. Hopefully the Wife forgets and doesn’t try me again tonight.

Thing is, I respect her time. I know exactly what she likes and would never recommend watching a movie I don’t think she would dig.

Four out of five times, she picks movies we both would enjoy. This time…
