Come to think of it, their was this one girl at my mama church who had liked me but she had some real issues and was a big freak. She would hop around from guy to guy and my mama told me don't even think about it because my mama knew about her history and knew how she was moving out here.Their was also some chick at the church who was saving her virginity but would suck a mean one allegedly and let people do her in the butt
That's just crazy but she had to remain clean for her husband she would say.

I was at my cousins baby's christening a fortnight ago and I could just about stomach that church shyt. I knew half the people in attendance and most of them are into some foul/criminal stuff that it was so laughable watching them sing gospel songs and say their hallelujahs and all that other bullshyt.

- Not actually believing what is being said. Solution: Despite being a non believer the Bible actually teaches some important lessons and can be interesting at times. You think all those politicians are really Christians? No but they understand the importance of the church. Besides half the congregation don't really believe either
This is really where I'm at. It's necessary.
That's a shame and one of the reasons I have a hard time going to church. Everyone wants to gather to network and gossip, not to heal one another. What good is there in going to church only to go home a feel like nothing happened for the next 6 days? There is supposed to be change and growth and healing.
And not to mention that a lot of the churches in my predominantly black city are surrounded by filth and raggedy homes. With the amount of churches in America there should not be one black ghetto, no black homeless people, and no one black man woman or child should be hungry.

Can't we make something else in the black community to fill that void though. The church is non-sense if you don't believe it.
This is what I'm talking about. They getting all that money, some of these fat nikkas got mega churches and private jets but what they doing for the community besides theoretical performances every Sunday. That shyt worked in the 60's and united people and worked to try and get us real change but after no progress and Martin Luther King Jr's death a lot of us are starting to see through that bullshyt. We need something else because the church has failed us and Jesus is not coming to save us or heal us, we got to do the work. Faith is cool and important and the church has it's space for the people who believe that jazz but we got real work to do. We need real solutions! The church only getting these fat pastors pocket's deeper so they can buy nice car, clothes and homes.
I hear this 100%. But you gotta remember what it would take to tear down the church and build a new institution for the black community. You have to pick your battles breh. I would rather choose to spend my time doing something else that would benefit the community.

I hear you bro, I really do but at the same time to promote falsehood is not good either. Cause as much as you build with these folks it's still gonna be one step back your taking because it was done under the guise of promoting a falsehood, that being the institution the church and what it stands for. It's like as much work as you could get done it would always be a glass ceiling because it was done within the church.
Its that rhetoric. Words get us going, but like emotion it's all fleeting. And like you said, before it worked because we were focused on uniting. Now? Not so much. Everyone is out for self, making sure self is alright. Me too! Pastors too. We need to start changing ourselves. We really do

Now I got nothing against the knowledge and wisdom of the bible but your going to tell me a man gathered 2 of many animals and put them on a boat for 40 days and 40 nights? Where did the animals shyt? Didn't some of the animals attack each other due to being in natural predator and prey relationships?
Your going to tell me you as a grown person believe someone walked on water or that someone was swallowed by a whale and the spit back whole? Didn't the whale's digestive enzymes break down the organic structure of the human body while inside the whale?
That stuff can't be literal man, and pastors mainly use it to control people by fear so they can get money. With that said if I was to marry a christian yeah I'll go every Easter and around Christmas times and few times in between then but to go every Sunday is a dub. If it don't touch my spirit I don't get near it, even if the music is jaming. Nah!
