If he believes that is what they should pay him then fine, just dont bytch later about not having enough help to get that next ring.
Yep, can't have it both ways. Bron took less money to compete but he's just a different breed of competitor.

:what: so taking less money to team up with 2 other all-stars is being a competitor :heh:

Kobe demanding the Lakers build a contender around him while getting his worth is being a competitor. Kobe ain't scared to go into battle with mediocre talent. He won 2 rings with his two best players being Odom and Gasol. One fringe all-star and the other never making it. That right there is what it means to be a competitor.

Matter of fact....I'd re-sign him for 3 years around 54-60 million:yeshrug:

If he comes back like the Kobe we've known over the years, he still deserves that kinda money
You are willing to pay a 35, 36 and 37 year old Kobe 20 mil a year?:what:

Taking less money to compete arguably makes you less of a competitor....youre taking lrless money so management can put as much talent as possible around you and make it easier to win

If i play a videogame on superstar mode and you play on rookie mode, whos more competitive? The guy who took the challenging route or the guy who took the easy path to win?

Taking less money so management can put as much talent around you is the same thing as playing a video game on the easiest difficulty level. That doesnt necessarily make you competitive

To compete you need a good team. Basketball isn't a 1 on 5 sport bruh. If that's the case, the teams who do the least during free agency and never try to acquire good players would be considered the most competitive teams in the league. :usure: That would make the Hawks the most competitive team so far during free agency after dumping every good player except Al. They are showing they really wanna compete for a title this season.

If you say he's selfish, you're either a c00n or a cac. Lol @ nikkas choosing the white man over Kobe. They should pay him 30 mill again for all the revenue he's brought to this franchise + money under the table for emotional distress having to play with Kwame, Smush and Luke Walton in his prime.

I aint taking a pay cut for NOBODY :childplease:

So if Kobe and gasol played for free so the lakers could add three more Mac players to the squad, that makes them competitors?

Nah, that makes them guys that take the easy way

A real competitor has the confidence to take what they deserve and still feel they can win

Never negotiate against yourself.

His agent is going to set a number and they will go down from there. He knows he isn't getting Max but that's not going to stop him from getting a good number. They'll still have enough space to build a good team regardless.
