Meek needed to drop something with the urgency of this

Exactly. The reason most people upset w Meek is cause he proved he can do it. He just hasn't done it to Drake. He def either got somebody making him back off or probation issues or something. It just don't make sense

Nah, when Kendrick in particular gets on his vicisous shyt there's not too many who could bar with him. We shall see if that day ever comes. But Meek in particular would be light work for Kendrick.

Even "Control". To put it simlpy Kendrick can get the people going with his words/delivery. That's a big part of winning a battle

Nothing vicious about any of that. None of that would translate favorably in a battle. Like I said before, there is a art to this battle ish and nothing you've posted demonstrates that Kendrick possesses it.

He put it out there, people are talking about it, mission accomplished. Drake got him because he dropped a better record. It's almost a year later, why would he still feel the need to dedicate whole songs to the situation? That's hustling backwards.

And Dot has thrown very specific shots at Drake ( who clearly doesn't want them issues ) and more recently Jay Electronica. So how does that equate him to being scared of a battle :what: ?

And I need a link to where Fab claimed he was told not to diss Kendrick. He was the main one twitter fingering about "Where's a studio..."
He had a million tracks going at him over Control and he didn't drop any tracks back. :comeon: Shots aren't the same thing as full tracks.

first let me be clear. this isn't a stan wars thread. lets keep it hip-hop and leave all the dikkriding for whichever artist you favor at the door.

EDIT: people were saying this from jump. including on this board. so I'm not trying to take credit for anything. but I'm saying, this new hot topic over this chick makes it painfully obvious.

all that ammo that he had.
hell, all the ammo that your typical rap fan on the sideline could use against drake.

and instead theyre off trading diss lines about a dam industry jumpoff that theyre passing around.

its like he was hinting at stuff on "wanna know" - which was really just a sampler. the full version never even got released, and he still has yet to put out a full diss record.

somebody clearly got in meek's ear and told him to fallback.
reminds me of when fabulous exposed the fact that he was told not to diss Kendrick lamar.

Meek is rap's worst fuhk up only in regards to battling. So, on that note, he should fall back

Future can't battle for shyt, and has clones taking his style and eating off of him, but you never say a word against him.

Face it, Meek has shortcomings and rational minded people are having a harder time to defend him.

:usure: I'm on record saying that future is good at what he does, but hes not a good rapper.

and I dont even consider that future/designer/young thug type chit to be hip-hop. I been said they need to establish their own genre.

this isn't about meek or his "shortcomings".

NOPE.

He wasn't told to tone it down. I think Meek is a Hip Hop dood and thought just exposing the ghost writing thing was enough, as a lot of us did. It wasn't. Now add to the fact that the label and big corporations jumped in to try to steer the damage away from the guy who has an owl on their shoes, a face on their can of soda, and currently the top earning hoe in the Universal stable....

I still think that Meek got the best shots in recently. Drake's reply on Views was weak AF.

yea I thought the ghostwriting was gonna be the end of it too. I don't know how you get caught red-handed with reference tracks and youre still allowed to battle anybody.

I wasn't expecting a battle and I'm sure meek wasn't expecting one either. then the public forced him to microwave a track while he was on tour, claiming he took forever to respond, as if its a race.
