it means that hip hop isn't interestin' to me anymore. it doesn't surprise me anymore. it's been very complacent for years now and it's just redundant

as far as the classics, i never say never but i don't know because i enjoy listenin' to so many of the original songs that many of the hip hop songs i've loved have sampled from and to me nothin' is better than the original. sure, a few flips of a sample are cool here and there but it's nothin' compared to hearin' the actual record from which that hip hop song was sampled from.

new music? new music could be old music if it's somethin' i've never heard. new hip hop? yes, i'm done with

That's weird that you feel like you won't appreciate classic hip hop records anymore because you like the original records that were sampled more. What about the rhymes?

I've always thought you were an excellent poster. But this doesn't add up to me. People who grew up on Marvin Gaye never lost interest in albums like What's Going On.

kanye has been the only muthafukka who kept this hip hop shyt live imo though

he's no prince of course, but i look at his run (in the hip hop sense) almost how prince was in the 80's. he kept new and excitin' albums comin' like kanye has for the past 10 years. kanye hasn't comprised for the last 10 years, has kept puttin' out great music, videos, performances and interviews

kanye has been a very interestin' and unique artist for the last decade

I don't know how anyone can listen to K-Rino, Cormega and Ras Kass' new albums and feel that way though. Even Bizzy Bone, Common, Saigon, Canibus, Freddie Gibbs and others had some heat on their albums. Been so much dope shyt, songs, albums, remixes, interviews, been brilliant, been fun. K-Rino dropping albums regularly, Mega came back strong. Nice joints on the Havoc project, especially the song with Mega, Tragedy had some fire on his project. This is all just this year. KRS-One had some great joints. Hip Hop is beautiful to me, so much great shyt. Not to mention Z-Ro dropping heat, Face is coming... and probably will be heat, Nas gonna have a new album which you know will have joints... so many, so much. Mainstream wise certainly is wack more than dope I guess but as a whole Hip Hop is so dope. High quality work being released. Love it.

Nah stick around,ive had those periods but it never made me not love the classics,if you can stop loving the classics you grew up on I gotta question if you ever really loved it....Ive been lucky enough to always have a rapper come out of nowehere to make me a fan and bring back that excitement for me...most recently its been Migos...but then again im somebody who never overdosed on the music to where I need constant excitement every week like sum nikkas who download new shyt every day...so a little excitement here and there keeps me from feeling like the sky is falling in.
