There are MILLIONS of reasons to not like Donald Trump.

Making this fatal error of equating an immigrant, which is a documented, regulated, and overseen process of migration...

...to...

ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION...which is the undocumented, unregulated, exploitative process of migration...

This REALLY just undermines how seriously you all dont take Donald Trump as a threat.

If you all can't get this right, Trump WILL win.

I was really shocked at how divisive this issue is. The American left has really gone HAM for illegal immigrants this election. I understand the compassion angle, but no other country in the world has such consideration for people breaking the laws of the country to immigrate illegally. Donald Trump says America needs to enforce the existing immigration laws and repair its shytty borders, and people are saying he's Hitler. :dahell:

There are 11.4 million illegal immigrants in the US. That's pretty wild to me. I can definitely understand debating the feasibility of mass deportations or self-deportation or building a wall or modernizing the immigration system. You can call Trump's proposed fix unrealistic or dumb, but to posit that he's literally evil for rebuking illegal immigration is very strange. Maybe someone can explain this to me, because from what I can tell, this is the main policy proposal that's driving the hatred of Trump. I've never seen a general population go so hard for people breaking the laws of the country to come illegally. It's like people can't even admit that illegal immigration is wrong on principle :heh:.

I would understand if people treated this as a policy difference, but I'm suspicious because they're treating it like a moral transgression yet Hillary is on the record saying this:

Is it oochie wally or is it one mic?

People are turned off by the fascist language he employs. It's one thing to call for immigration control, it's another thing to call them rapists, drug mules and murders In a cynical attempt to whip up nativism for political gain. Especially when stats show natives commit crimes at higher rates.

"but who gonna do the jobs Americans don't want to do" is the root of the "compassion" that liberals have for illegals

Illegal immigration is a prime example to show the levels of hypocrisy that liberals and democrats wallow in when they cheery pick legit concerns to address for their own benefits, while criticizing the republicans and conservatives of doing the same thing

It's one thing to criticize his delivery, but it's another thing to not admit the problem exist and/or hold your own candidates[if you're a dem] accountable for choosing not to address a problem that affect citizens

probably because there's not many other countries that can admit to blaitently disregarding foreign sovereignty, foreign civil rights and international law on such a grand scale..

The direct results of American policies in Mexico are clear to see unless you refuse to look. You don't even need to go far back to see how bi national efforts to combat the drug problems have lead to more politicians and 'security firms' with questionable ties receiving funding. And how the crime rates have spiked as a result. But fukk it lets keep simplifying everything without doing any research.

You piss off moderates and independents by employing lazy arguments.

Y'all keep treating Trump like a joke and people are going to call your bluff.

Drug problem evoked "war on drugs,"
Very weak "war on drugs" efforts with poor economy by Mexican government and delayed attention to drug issue by US government cause Drug problem
I'm not debating the consequences of the US "war on drugs," but instead pointing out that Mexico had problems prior to the US efforts

Yeah, this is totally fair. That language was ugly and overboard and statistically wrong, and he deserves to be criticized for it, but the dominant narrative coming out is that Trump hates Latinos (and somehow even African-Americans) because of that statement. That seems like a spurious claim to me. There are Latino-Americans who immigrated legally, so to lump all Latinos into the illegal immigrant category is iffy to me. If I was a Latino-American citizen of legal standing, what would I have to fear from Trump's immigration policy?
