Has put on a cult classic R&b artist (The Weeknd) , has had timeless features, coined numerous phrases we say in our everyday life (Shootin in the gym, YOLO, Started from the bottom, etc.), and has rarely missed a step.

i'm not even a drake fan and even i can admit that the dude is a lot nicer than kendrick. kendrick lamar is an adequate mc who is a safe choice for a lot of people, which explains his popularity. but, he's not that talented, and his album is grossly overrated.

of the new school rappers (drake, big sean, kendrick, krit, j cole, etc.), drake is the only one who is clearly top tier talent. the others are not anywhere near him.

nah. i'm a semi-street dude. college-educated, cultured, articulate, etc. but i gravitated to the streets from my suburban origins, becoming a part of that life for a good while, and that's where my music comes from. i don't listen to corny rap, and i think kendrick is corny. his music is corny. i'm glad there's a positive brother out there doing his thing. good for him. we need positive role models for the kids. but i think you can be positive without being corny. lupe fiasco is a positive mc who isn't corny, imo. kendrick is corny. a lot of his fans are probably just as corny, which is why i don't know any kendrick fans.
