Me and wifey are moving down to NC and need something practical and cheap to get around with. So no Bimmers or any of that bullshyt. Budget is like 10K. I am thinking something like a CR-V or Toyota Matrix. Any ideas???

Got to factor in insurance as well.
Matrix aren't bad but certain years have issues.
Why not a civic or a fit?
A rav 4 will be cheaper than a crv
also a camry, accord, Nissan altima bigger cars but still good on gas and cheaper on insurance.

Sounds like you're looking for something practical and more like a wagon. I would look up a Mazda 3 or maybe a small Jeep. But I guess my question is what are some specific features that you are looking for, something that no matter what you get it's gotta have this or gotta have that?
I kind of want a wagon/hatchback/SUV. We both have hobbies that would be helped a lot by a car that could carry shyt. I would love an Accord V6 but they aren't practical enough.
Perfect car for me would be that old Mazda6 wagon but with the 4 cylinder. They only come with 6s. I'm gonna try one anyway though. I'm also gonna try the Mazda 3. I think the hatchbacks come with the little 2.0L.

Well, to me it looks like to me that if you want to stay in your budget it's going to lean more towards how old a car and what mileage range you want the car to be in. I'm looking and I'm seeing older Trailblazers for under 10K, but I don't think you're looking for that. Maybe a 1st gen RAV-4. But that's what it's looking like to me.

Im trying to get the fukk away from all this fukkery. Im a sober daytime dude. I would rather be in bed early to do something during the day than out late at night drunk. fukk that.
We are gonna have one last club thing in NYC and after that I would be cool never doing the club thing again. Its fun but its just not for me anymore.

I do like that 07+ 2.0T wag too. I feel like the newer ones are more reliable too. My buddy has an MK5 GTI, loves it. No problems. I am gonna test drive one and hope I hate it, mite make a bad decision brehs
