All 3 had their moments in the Sun. Busta is definitely a “legend” though.
From his verse on “Scenario”, to commanding his own lane and paving the way for artists like Ludacris (even though Luda wasn’t too far behind him).
Though they weren’t the first to embrace being oddballs, artist like him, ODB, a revived Kool Keith, were unique inside of the golden era. His songs were huge and catchy. The videos only helped to personify the energy in his songs. If you were old enough to buy your own music, or at least control the radio, in 1997 Busta got love EVERYWHERE. Even when he was past his “prime”, he still managed to be in demand on radio/club/party playlists.
Busta has been celebrated since his earliest songs, has been celebrated for decades, and will continue to be celebrated/remembered after he’s dead. He’s never dropped a perfect album, but some will kill behind “Extinction Level Event” and “When Disaster strikes”.
Fat Joe survived DITC, introduced Pun, and had a bunch of “hot” catchy singles long after most would have written him off.
Jada had some hits both solo and with the Lox. He’s had dope features, etc.
I’m not sure if I would consider Joe or Jada as the most massive “legendary” figures in rap. But they’ve both been there and done that and remain recognizable.
