Fat joe been in the rap game 30+ years , introduced big pun, part of ditc had dope albums. He’s a legend like him or not

Busta was in l.o.n.s was the best in the group.made a whole career off one verse on scenario where he stole the show then had a decent solo career. Also in the game 30+ years

Hip hop has had a lot of one hit wonders or artists who fizzled quick these dudes been in it for a long time

Fat Joe also to me a king of New York did more off the mic than on the mic
I remember being at the Puerto Rican Day parade back in like 97 98
I think me and my shawty was right by the MoMO if I can remember that far back...I was a teenager
Fat Joe comes walking through the crown this nikka was not just heavy but tall as hell I was kid tho...his security was pushing people to get out his way and Joe started screaming on his team like ayo stop pushing mothafukkas fam it's crowded they just tryna show love to me stop pushing people nikka!!!
nikka was hella cool that was dope to see
Fat Joe a Legend

I’ll say this…

You could tell someone the story of hip hop — only musically — without having to mention any of those three.

But they still all had major contributions and have been around, relevantly, forever. And they’re definitely all NEW YORK legends.

-I disagree. All 3 artists were part of movements that were defining for their time, whether they were the centerpiece or not. If you skip those moments you aren't telling the whole story.

These nikkas do NOT have numerous hits and none of this answers my question. nikka said career lasting decades lol These nikkas were finished by the late 2000s. Busta has the best argument here, but the other two have done nothing to be rightfully called legends.

You are conflating hiphop culture with pop.

Hiphop is not contingent upon commercialism culturally. You are talking about and conflating talking points and issues. That have nuffin to do with hiphop.
You need to dig in the crate.
If you have not dug in the crate and lack in hiphop history. Why are you publically demonstrative. To be hiphop or talk about hiphop. You have to know All of the concepts, history. Mores and norms about hiphop sithout fail. You are asking questions. When it is obvious you have no idea about hiphop history.

Bustas run is up there with LL Cool J and Nas lowkey nikka been still pretty relevant since leaders of the New School. Personally I put him pass Jadakiss and Fat Joe. Also his originality in the game busta is a one of one you can’t compare too many rappers to him.

I guess it all comes down to personal preference, but in Jada's case,, he's a legend just off his features, his bars, the content, u gotta respect the man. Busta, been in the game since what, 90? He's a legend for sure, 20 odd albums, the man stays on his grizzy. Feature game off the chain too. Joey Crillz same as Busta I guess.may be not currently relevant musically, but u got to respect their grind if nothing else, I don't know man, times are changing drastically, if even this is being questioned now
