Side-scrolling shootemup , workin on and off on it for a year and a half now or something... ALMOST done.
We're redoing this trailer cause everyone that's played the game has a lot of fun, but the trailer just makes it look like a generic flash game I guess?
We're trying to get it on Steam, but no luck so far getting enough votes.
And yeah man, send me a PM if you have any ideas for a logo or whatever... I can't help you out with any other graphics without seeing them papes tho![]()
Thanks homie! What are you working on? If you're serious about a logo or something man, I might be down.
Any thoughts for what kind of music would go well for a game like this? It's meant to be fast paced and obviously competitive.

One UMBC dude but I'm sure there are UB guys in the BIG group as a whole. I agree with Unity being fun. When something with the physics goes wrong, it's hard to understand why. But I really like it right now.

Ah didn't see the sig! This is dope though, I just voted it up and will buy it when/where ever it's available. If you need any playtesting, let me know. I def understand about not being able to help on graphics w/o the dough. I appreciate you even offering to lend a hand logo-wise. I'll hit you up when I get a chance and let you know.
Even if your game is good, it's probably going to be hard to make a game called "Flappin Nutz" popular
How many people on your team? What is this built in? What have been your challenges so far? Thanks for the support man, let me know if you put your game up anywhere and need upvotes or comments etc. Sounds good.
Most people that have played it at conventions thought it was funny, and humor is a big part of the game... especially once the piff cinematics are in.
I think it will be cool, especially once people see that we're trying to sell the game for the bare minimum... like $1.00 if possible, it's more to get our foot in the door of the biz.

I'm just getting started man. You have at least the year of this game under your belt. The number one thing I learned is that if you want to make games, you should just start. Don't look for excuses or whatever, just start. The hardest part of making a game is probably the last 10-20%. But most people would be surprised how quickly you can get something relatively fun up and running. The other thing I learned, as posters in this thread have shown - people are always willing to help. Whether it's playtesting or advice or whatever. It's been a good experience so far. It's animated in flash, sprite sheets put together with photoshop and other program i dont remember the name of at the moment and programmed in XNA. I don't know shyt about programming though, I'm an animator and a writer.
The team is four animators, a programmer and a sound/music guy.
Biggest challenge is just getting this shyt done already and fighting feature creep, we want it to be good but you know everyone has schedules, personal lives and bills to pay. Also memory constraints on XNA... we were going to look into overcoming those limitations finding out how others did it like with Fez or w.e but instead we're abandoning XNA and moving to Unity for our next game.
Another challenge is just getting the word out there, which will be a lot easier once the game is done.
What have you learned man? Drop some wisdom.

Can't say I plan on that at the moment to be honest. Not sure what I'll do next but I'll prob be working this for at least a few months. It'll probably be even longer when it's all said and done.like a crash bandicoot or jak and dexter
Hopefully it'll eventually look even better but we're happy with this for the game jam submission. There are some truly cool looking games that have been submitted though. I'll link it up once all our submissions are in.Damn 4 looks a lot better.
Fred.

I could pop out the corner of the screen on some "Toasty" shyt like :ez:Waiting on Coli Fighter.......
just imagine.....
- negs (nikkaz lose power)
- daps (power ups)
- rep (nikkaz get to unleash a special move)
- The smileys when when getting smacked up and winning
- shyt can be incredible when you think about it
- Use real nikkaz faces
- backdrops can be the city cats live in
- earning/losing coli cash in the game and in the forums when you win
- Mowgli can be the boss at the end whuppin nikkaz asses with BJJ
I'm willing to produce it, let's do it @Kodie ...how much you need to make this?
We can then sell the engine to other web sites too...
I'm dead serious too breh!
