It’s two factors that the LGBTQ community have and they do it well: money and solidarity.
They will gladly take their money and support elsewhere if they feel offended. They’re on the same page about shyt, like a hive mind. Those two factors are there with any successful demographic.
There’s no infighting. If so and so is “cancelled” then they’re “cancelled”. There’s nothing that needs to be spun, it’s a final verdict accepted in unison in that demographic which makes them highly effective in getting their way. The same goes when they support something.
Nearly every demographic has a substantial amount of money to get their way, but they don’t have the same level of solidarity and unity on issues. So that money gets split, many times to causes not in that demographics’ interest. LGBTQ don’t move scattered like that.
Same reason why K-Pop doing numbers and getting mainstream adoption. A lot of money in the demographic that moves in unison. Companies are not going to turn down massive revenue.
