Sometimes, people outthink themselves and start seeing things that aren't really there. I knew Drew Brees was dope when he was killing shyt in college at Purdue. Same with Russell Wilson before Wisconsin and there.

Water finds its level, always does. Coming into the draft, trubiskys player comparison was Ryan Tannehill. The league will catch up to the bears a bit this upcoming season. Daniel Jones is compared to Eli largely. I'm not from the tri-state area so my opinion of Eli isn't high to begin with.

I'm not going to speculate if the mental is right, I'm judging the production. #6 in the draft means that your team won games at times simply because of you. I'm not seeing that with this guy.

I know but he wasn't considered a high draft pick until the week prior to the draft and then became a bust. Daniel Jones does have a pretty good passer rating and played some good competition in college. I still think it was a dumb pick for the Giants.

Akili was considered a high draft pick at the time the draft happend he was one of those combine dudes that shot up the chart to the top 10...The Bengals valued his potential but everyone that wasn't tim couch was shytted on....I still don't understand what it was about McNabb that turned the Bengals off because I wanted us to take him....Some how Akilis stock went up to the level of Couchs (I'm assuming the dude interviews well or something on top of turning up during the pro workout day) so he could of went anywhere from 1-10....And than the Eagles made the right pick and selected Mcnabb but we thought they were taking ricky Williams. Leaving Mcnabb or Akili to fall to us.....And of course our dumb assess turned down the Saints offer which was like all of their draft picks for Ricky Williams....This is why I always say we aren't ever going to be shyt we have no foresight we went and picked damn akili smith.

hopefully this is a lesson to people (we all know it wont be) but instead of reading a stat sheet and not only forming an opinion, which is debatable to begin with, but to make a holy declaration...yeah, i hope everyone that made an ABSOLUTE judgement, when you know damn well nobody watches dook football, FRY THEIR ASSES. i dont eeem care it's only two games. if this was haskins or anyone a mofo liked, and the shoe were on the other foot, nobody would want to wait to be judge and jury on this guy.

all people had to do was say, "oh, i dont know. never seen him. looks questionable, we'll see."

Only reason I watched him at Duke was they were in our division in the ACC and we recruited him (early early). Funny thing is he always cooked us when playing us :mjcrygt:

My issue in this Daniel Jones saga is that no nikka with his credentials out of college is getting picked 6th overall. We'd be undrafted or late round at best. That's the privilege of looking the part.

I'll take my L shytting on him, but a lot of it was because of the privilege or being average/above average in college and getting taken high because of his cacicity. Not his fault and he's an athletic dude too.

I’m right there with you...I wasn’t predicting him to be a great player or anything, but in 2018 I watched him play against Temple and while they sucked he was making some great passes...and at that time some scouts had him going No. 2 in the draft

So I can honestly say I’m not really too shocked at how well he’s been playing...I pretty much definitely knew that he was going to be better than Eli when the gmen got him but I didn’t understand the outrage from people like Max Kellerman.

Now I was shocked that the Giants didn’t take Haskins over him, simply based on name brand—not on talent....I still thought that he was going in the 1st round...I could see it when he wracked up against TU.
