They’ll be calling for him to get fired 20 games in. Racial slurs from his own home crowd 40 games in.
That's what i'm saying but the brehs in here from Boston are all in their feelings about it. The Celtics as an organization aint necessarily racist. They've had black coaches. But "Boston"...

Boston a racist town. But you can say one thing....historically the celtics have never had a problem hiring black head coaches (since 1967). Whether the celtics are bad, good or championship caliber.

Also since the late 60s. The celtics have at least 1 black head coach at the helm every decade except the 70s. No other historical non recent expansion nba team can say that.

Great point.

When I was a kid, caught flack for rooting for the Celtics. The old timers used to be the only ones who gave me a pass.
Later in life, I realized it was because of what Bill Russell meant.

Was discussing Boston with another member recently. That city, and by extension that state has a terrible reputation in terms of Northern areas. Yet, the very first elected Black Senator, and the second of only two elected Black governors in history were in Massachusetts.
