Man I haven't even heard a song.. its too much music n shyt for me to get hip on new artists some time.. this dude any good? And i dont mean lyrically I mean musically ........
He does a very good take on early-mid 90s style East Coast Rap. Nothing FANTASTIC, but very good. I will say that, unlike some, I kind of like the occasional sloppiness of his flow, but if you don't, I chalk that up to age and development.
I will say that he does have potential, serious potential, but I don't want to hear him remake 1999 forever.
I think the problem is, we always assume that everything dudes do, are gimmicks.
I was just under the impression that the young homie liked the sound from back then, and was inspired by it. I don't see anything wrong with that. If he's 17, I would rather him pull from that era than the corny trap shyt that cats are obsessed with today. He has potential, and just seems to wanna make good music. Nobody's talking platinum sales for him and all that. Sometimes we should just appreciate good music for what it is, without feeling like we have to declare how well it won't do globally.
Dude's done a good job of showing he's talented. And his crew is dope too. I fukk with them.

I wish.
Im jus a nikka from NY. Who wants to see his region properly repped. Not no gimmick rappers or concept rappers. Check all my threads in the spot. Its me offering critizicism on ALL NY rappers. From 50 to Maino, to Diddy to Jay. I guess everyone else agreeing with me are frustrated rappers and A&Rs too huh

I guess im mad I didnt sign 50 cent or Dr.Dre didnt pick me up either huh, Im mad that Jim jones didnt pick up my demo b
Or maybe im jus kicking some real shyt. And ya are jus throwing the word "hater" at any nikka who doesnt share your exact same opinion of a artist![]()
I mean its one thing to have your sound moved a bit by influences... but at the end of the day there is a difference between drawing on things to make something new and just completely carbon copying a whole sound + era. The dude has taken the shyt beyond homage to the point of theft/satire. Its 2012 for fukks sake
Do u walk around dressed like the Fu-Schnickens and huddle around garbage pails full of burning trash toome and my crew make music and a lot of my beats sound like some 90's type shiit it's not theft/satire that's just the music we make. I don't sit around like "how can I make this more oldschool" that's just the natural sound that I produce. Ain't nothing wrong with that....people like Meyer Hawthorne dropping soul music but they ain't biting the 70's?
keep it real, get your own shyt man, and be original
are you retarded nikka?
