lol@ The Badass hate..

nygga is the fukkin truth..

wait till he gets that top notch production... Dude got NEXT

Lol top notch production for him probably means the trackmasters. He's obviously the musical fantasy or some cac/mid level jewish exec pining for classic 90s rap. He's dead in the water with this corny gimmick. No major will sign or promote this bullshyt seriously.:heh:

i see some of the points that the threadstarter is making so i can respect his stance.

but :whoa: at some of the stuff hes saying. hes 17 in 2012 with a luv for '90s hip-hop. i was 17 in 2002 with the same type of luv for '80s hip-hop. and in an interview, his description of the way '90s hip-hop was around him since birth is very similar to me in the '80s.

now if this is all lies on his part, then im with you. but other than that..........

this is the latest " we bringing NYC back" rapper to get behind

:what:

no hes not.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Its not original to him. Original = he created it. He is just biting shyt everyone else isn't up on. That is no better than biting shyt everyone is up on.

And yes there were a lot of copycats in the 90s. But there were also a lot of originators. This guy is a 90s copycat 20 yrs after the fact. nikkas didnt give Mic Geronimo a pass for biting Nas in 94; why should we give this dude a pass for biting the whole 90s sound now? Biting is never cool, no matter how much you like what is being bitten

Mic Geronimo bit NAS...a specific artist that was out at the moment...and thing is people still fukked wit Mic Geronimo...WHO specifically is the kid biting?..he just sounds like an era and maybe some people he's been influenced by just like MOST other rappers...u cant really compare cause guess what?..hip hop is too young for u to...if he prefers that old 90s sound. So what..the kid is 17 he has a GREAT base to start improving...he so young and has mad room for improvment and development...damn near every mainatream artist bite eachothers flows and whole sound and nikkas choose to pick on this kid for tryna bring a sound originated by HIS CITY...I BEEN sayin that I wanna hear what he sounds like over current production n such...lets atleast wait and see what this kid has to offer before tearing the lil nikka down...its funny cause im one of the first cats on here to point out when somebody is biting...

People still fukked w/Mic... shyt he is still one of my favorite rappers... but biting is biting :yeshrug:

Youre never gonna hear him over modern beats... cause then he will have to step out of that cloud of nostalgia that protects him from comparison and objective critique

You are giving this dude a pass because you fukk with his vision... but at the end of the day while its important to pay respect to the past and hip hop's 30+ yr narrative, dude doesn't have to completely house every aspect of the era to do so

The level of "era homage" dude is doing less like paying homage and more like adapting an identity because he can't rock w/his own

There ya goofballs go again with the "hate" word. nikkas is haters because we see thru this unoriginal ass gimmick rapper being pushed upon us by a note worthy industry connected jewish a&r? :ld:

Its not even the whole him getting his sound from the 90s or going back to a "East Coast" sound. Its jus that straight up this nikka is a characture of old skool music and his music does not build upon the old sound or is even better than what he is trying to recreate. His music is indeed shallow and hollow. Go ahead and drop one Joey Badass line that makes you go :ohlawd:

Not only that, but there are a plethora of original up and coming NY artists who do what this cornball is trying to do 100%x better. The shyt Ive heard from acts like The Underachievers, that wavy nikka Armvnii :wow: , Action Bronson, Coke Boyz shyt even FlatBush Zombies are better than Joey badass and his impression of being Mr.Cheeks.

:wtf::shaq2:

nikka please.
