Lyrically Rae was still incredible...there are some gems too...but overall the production is so fukking awful. Rae should be ashamed that he didn't set aside whatever differences there were, and get RZA/Wu-Elements on tracks.

No fukking Ghost?

Album is a 3/5...but when you compare it to it's predecessor it immediately massively disappointing.

Outside of the small handful of gems (Live from NY, Sneakers, My Favorite Dred, Real Life, might be forgetting one or two more), I'd rather listen to this Strum remix of the the album which gives it a more mid-90s vibe to the production:

Gave this another listen for the first time in years recently. Yes the production is trash, but goddamn his bars were INCREDIBLE during this era.

The better thread would have been to compare the rae mixtape run.
as one of the unheralded mixtape quality runs all time for that era.

Only behind fiddy and tied with Busta for rhat era. As far as eastcoadt artist all time in the mixtape era. As well as when compared top to bottom to weezy and ti's ghostwritten runs in mixtspe. Where rae more than likely did rhe work with no help

The second rae album was huff as hell. That besides sneakers. The only real standout record was the swizz beats era sounding record.

That does not even garner much mention.
or any mention at all to revisit in general. As the raekwon mixtape era completely redeemed how wack that rae album was.


That many people try to meld time and post in revision. Without amy mention of just how rae made it back from the depths of wack as fukk second album hell. Or moved away from the sophomore slump. Wit the mixtape run as well as rhe original obfcl part two. Before the second album release of the second sequel to obfcl.

It has its moments but is inconsistent and following a classic definitely hurts it, overall id say in addition to ob4cl, oncl2, Shaolin vs wutang, and a lot of the Vatican mixtape series are all a lot better to me
