yea thers some other songs i cant recall that shouldve been on there but that particular song is goat material

that shyt is silent murder/the curse level lyricism. one of raes goat songs hands down

The whole Wu Tang series made me go back and listen to all of Wu Tang’s best albums but I always heard how wack Immobilarity is, especially following up a classic like Only Built For Cuban Linx (still one of the absolute greatest albums of all time).

Raekwon’s (and Ghost’s) discography really stood out for me and they have shot up my top 10 list. I was barely born when OBFCL came out so I can’t appreciate the impact of the time but maybe that’s why I can listen to Immobilarity and still enjoy it.

I know it deviates from the gritty and unpolished Wu Tang sound but how can an album with joints like Live From New York, Sneakers, Casablanca, the Table, Yae Yo & 100 rounds be consensously seen as trash?

What y’all think?

It was no myth. The beats were wack as fukk for a WU album at the time. This was his album after the purple tape. Probably one of the greatest hiphop albums ever. There was on song that was official that I liked wear the beat was what it was suppose to sound like some Rae shyt. This album was not good by the standards he set. shyt, every Ghost album is better than this shyt.

Unlike a lot of these frontin ass dudes in here who act like trash was heralded as classics then and now, at least I’ll salute you for acknowledging that everybody thought it was trash when it dropped, that’s a fact. Haven’t revisited that joint since it dropped (cause it was trash to me, lol) but I might now. Rae Top 25 ever for me, how everybody salute Ghost but slight Rae is goofy

Nah it was garbage. I used to listen to Cuban Linx everyday and when ‘Live From New York’ came out I was hype. Never forget the day I played the album - I was so disappointed. I actually lost all faith in Rae on that day but fortunately Ghost never let me down.

Are all high quality. Jury and forcast and yaeyo are cool.meth song was a dissapointment justlike gzas the same year.

Rest has wack beats but above average rapping.

Its a shame because rae has like 40 tracks each he did in and around both immobilarity and lex diamond that are better than half the album.

If immobilarity had joints that he gave away to mixtape djs like street mic mechanic, helicopter head, determination / black harrison / on the run, brown paper bag thoughts, get around that, wu tang/cream team lineup, dem want war; or his features: skew it on barb outkast , the heist busta, black Trump smif n wessun, frozen slick rick, the game pete rock, john blaze fat joe; or ost work : cuttin it up, respect power, wake up, its not a game. etc itd be BETTER than cuban linx imo

Rae just got cocky thinking all his tracks were hot. Most were but he gave away too many. Wu would do this in 98-2006 a lot.

I have 2-50 track playlists for immo/lex diamond that only features 10 or so songs from each album and 40 unreleased tracks each. Rae is one of the only rappers with catalog like that. Nas. Mobb deep. Rae. Ghost. Thats it.
