Immobilarity being trash is one of the biggest myths in hip hop history

What would you rate Immobilarity?

Above the fray.
nah, the company Micheal Corleone was dealing with in Godfather 3 was called Immobiliaire.

that's the obvious title inspiration.

I agree wholeheartedly, I think it's cool and is the same as Tha Doggfather:
Niccas heard (legendary producer) wasn't involved, and made up their minds they
weren't gonna like it.

...but it's Rae over breaks, straight up and down hip-hop.

I swear I been saying/posting this shyt.

Immobilarity

It Was Written

These artists created debut albums that were SO fukking great it made the follow-up seem lackluster, but without the 'sophomore album' context those albums all went hard as fukk.

I love this album.....very nostalgic to me. Forcast, Heart to Heart, Yae Yo, Casablanca, My Favorite Dread, Friday, Sneakerz, The Table.....these are all incredible records

the Infinite Arkatekz production was kinda whatever sometimes, but Rae was spitting his ass off dude painted pictures on that album that no one in hip hop either now or back then could ever come close to

Played this last night in light of this thread. Rae was absolutely rhyming at an incredible level but the beats sound like the type of bland, cinematic stuff that was going around in Queens at the time. Like I could see a Maze & Mussolini album having this type of production.

It does sound better all these years later with ZERO expectations attached. The tail end of the album gets really bad though.

:russ::russ: the production on Immobilarity is kind of reminiscent of Melvin Flint the Hustler. you're right.
