My dad got mad and thought it was a prank call because the man kept screaming help me,help me!!! And he sounded out of breath. We figured it was a zookeeper playing tricks cause we kept hearing hoofs stampeding in the background. The only thing we couldnt figure out his how in the hell did he get our number We didnt even give it to him

10 years old, playing in basketball summer leagues and pop warner football in the fall. Trying to holler at the older chicks (13 and 14) around the way. Summer time, watching all the dope dealers pull up in Porsche 911's, Benz 190's, Jeep Wranglers, dressed up in custom made Dapper Dan Gucci sweat suits, Gucci sneakers, Ballys, Polo rugbys and gooses, Dookie ropes, Herringbone necklace, 4 finger ring karats, etc. Looking at them, thinking to myself "Damn! I need to get me some of that". Trying to sneak into Club Sensations here in Newark. Prince St Projects use to come thru the club about 80 deep. Going skating over at this rink in the city called Twin City. But you had to roll there deep because them dudes from Dayton St PJ's use to terrorize the place. Every weekend taping Mr. Magic and Marley Marl on WBLS and Chuck Chillout and Red Alert on Kiss FM. Watching Video Music Box everyday after school. Bumping MJ, Guy, Keith Sweat, New Edition, Bobby Brown, Anita Baker, Stephanie Mills, Al B Sure, Luther Vandross, EPMD, BDP, PE, Ultramagnetic, Slick Rick, Biz Markie, Rakim, Kane, Jungle Brothers. Also, since I'm from Jersey, house music played a huge role in my upbringing. What ya'll know about Colonel Abrams??? Overall, 88 was one of the most fun times in my life.
