105 million people watched the finale of Mash in 1983

76 million people watched the finale of Seinfeld in 1998

52 million people watched the finale of Friends in 2004

16 million people watched the finale of ER in 2008

10 million people watched the finale of Breaking Bad in 2013.

I may be naive, but I’m confident folk can get the point of those facts without me explaining.

Bron haters are entirely too emotional and should not to be taken seriously in basketball conversations in any way shape or form.

Honestly, All Star games don't hit the same in any sport. I used to be excited to watch the NBA , MLB, NHL All Star and Pro Bowl games and you could tell so were other fans and even the players themselves.

Celebrities were excited to go too

It's not just the NBA that has a decline.

I remember mans used to be talking about the Home Run Derby like crazy...but now all All Star events and games don't be hittin'

I'm all for LeBron slander but the landscape of TV was  very different back then.

The highest rated TV shows today wouldn't even make the top 50 thirty years ago.

Even with recent All-Star games, the fact this thing slipped that bad really does indicate more and more Americans ain't trying to tune in.

Differences in tech don't explain it all: it ain't like streaming didn't exist in 2022.

Got to be realistic so you can address the problems: Americans ain't watching as much as they used to. So how to fix it? People have been complaining about the NBA heavier than they have the last few years, why? Perhaps there's some merit there?

Dismissing it completely as "irrational fans" runs the risk of it having even worse ratings next year.
