:pachaha: that shyt was funny and it still is...people weren't as uptight back then as they are now...
he never did anything "gay" he was just roasting Pam and Gina mostly (making them break character which was hilarious)

^^^^ :snoop: what people need to realize is that in AMERICA - a man in a dress and a wig is just seen as FUNNY. it's not funny to me, but to most people, it's the most hilarious shyt in the world

Tom Hanks is arguably the greatest actor that's ever lived, he even wore a dress to break into the business. Robin Williams too, and to my knowledge none of them have been on any gay shyt...

anybody mad at this needs to be mad at their fellow american.

It's a practice that has been done in acting since 600 bc but for some reason "African" "Americans" (yes 2 quotes because nobody seems to care about actual African people, nor are they concerned about other American actors aka Tom hanks" but for some reason just black actors that live and work in America) are just supposed to carve our own way in the art of acting and entertainment and be above that particular practice.

For men, is the goal to not look too convincing?

They aren't trying to be convincing. They are supposed to be over the top caricatures of women. Thus why their clothing and everything else is usually grossly exaggerated.

I have a 4 year niece that a hilarious impression of an old lady based off what she has seen in her little life. So when she does it, it's humorous and exaggerated. Like Martin and everybody they aren't trying to win the Oscar for best actor in making you believe that they are someone they are not ala Daniel day Lewis or Tom hanks, Leo, Denzel etc....but just to be silly and laugh at themselves and make others laugh too.

I remember Jared Leto dressed up as a woman or a transsexual for Dallas buyers club, I really don't remember anything about the movie at all but I can't see a reason why a black male can't put on a role as well as anyone else.

People focus on Shenaynay way too much. It's not like that was one of the main characters on the show. What people need to talk about is how Martin and Gina was probably the greatest display of black love in sitcom history. The story leading up to them getting engaged was amazing to me.. The ups and downs of their relationship. That part of the show is underrated to me. Shenaynay was ok to me... I mean it ain't like he made that character into a movie like them wack ass Big Momma movies.

I remember when Wesley went on Arsenio and talked about wantin to burn all of the women's undergarments he had to wear after the shoot.

I guess it's a classic now, instead of a 'nikka, what was you thinking?' movie.

For men, is the goal to not look too convincing?

when Wesley and them did it was when it was brought to light about how corrossive it was being used consistently to create a host of negative to far down the rabbit hole stereotypes and emasculation based ideals were there.
when martin was doing it,....
it was as an actual expression of an actual skit character he had been developing over the course of his career. Where more or less the draw of where he came From and who he was that made the character devoid of scrutiny Wes and them got from too Wong foo. Wes and them never recovered from that till much lter and some never recovered unless they got a massive career reboot from a larger actor and hit movie later.

black males conquered Rome and having them[us] cross dress is complete emasculation.
as we come from the society that stopped gay paganism from crippling the earth.
That is why we not supposed to be cross dressing.
