Kobe was never a point forward ( or point anything for that matter). This thread doesn’t make sense.

Kobe literally ran the LAkers offense every year he played and led in assists pretty much every time. He was the leader in SG assists most years if not all. You dont make sense.

People like to criticize Kobe for his shot selection and volume (and some of it is well-deserved)...but in one of Phil's book, although he expressed dismay at Kobe's shot selection, he did say that "people don't like realize the physical conditioning you have to be in to take over 20 shots a game in the NBA".

Phil went on to say that not many people can do that and also mentioned the enormous stress a player like Kobe puts on opposing defenses, since you always have to rotate different defenders on him.

My point is, detractors like to look at Kobe's 45% and make it the end all and be all...when the fact is that 45% comes with at least 2 defenders focused on Kobe along with the rest of the team defense ready to help. Kobe in his prime never faced true single coverage. It's a different 45% than your average NBA player.

Even Jordan mentioned the unbelievable amount stamina required take over 20 shots a game. Most NBA players can't do it over the course of 82 games...not without suffering a huge amount of turnovers.

There's nothing wrong with Kobe's efficiency breh. Literally no player, coach, or exec has ever held that against Kobe ever. The difference between 45% and 50% is just one shot when you're talking about elite players. You take 20 shots a game, 10 is 50% and 9 is 45%. It's not a big deal and plus Kobe's true shooting percentage is a closer gap to MJ/Bron

26 more turnovers with 2,036 more assists :mjlol:

Kobe also has a 3,190 missed FG lead on LeBron. For LeBron to catch up in the same amount of minutes, he'd have to miss a shot every minute he's on the floor for over an entire season.:mjlol:

Bron averages more missed shots per season than Kobe you dumbass. If Bron plays long enough to play with Bronny he'll pass Kobe in missed shots.

More lies

Lol at leader in assists for sg "most years if not all". Its more like very few years if ever. He was rarely in the top 20 for assist leaders and routinely ranked behind guys like Wade, McGrady, Iggy, even Monta Ellis.

not true. kobe was the initiator & decision maker in phil's triangle the same way pippen was. fisher was the spot up, like paxson. shaq was mike, etc...then when shaq left he took turns as the post and pg. kobe handled the ball ALOT. lebron is a better playmaker for his teammates, but lets not rewrite history, here.

Due to longevity, not his 4.7 assist average. The shyt you wrote before was pure usual nonsense, and now you want to move the goalposts and get angry at me cause I didnt let your bullshyt pass through as fact :heh: Foh dummy

but lets not rewrite history, here.
Ironic since Kobe stans been desperately trying to do just that with clueless threads just like this for over a decade.

Kobestans are rightfully confused about how they can simultaneously argue that he had the ball all the time and avoided turnovers but also excuse his lower assist numbers by arguing the triangle limited his usage and opportunities :heh:

Kobe hogged the fukk out of the ball just like LeBron, Westbrook, Harden, CP3, etc. He simply passed much less. But god damn, he took a lot of shots that should have been counted as turnovers :scust:

Another pathetic Kobestans thread filled with desperation and insecurity.

I’ve heard some bad arguments that Kobe stans have made, but this is among the worst. 0.5 fewer turnovers per game and 2.5 fewer assists is somehow something to spin in their favor :gucci:

These threads are always so hilarious to watch play out :mjlol:. Kobe stans hate stats because they don't favor Kobe in discussions against other guys, so when they try to use them in arguments they make fools of themselves cuz they have no idea how to logically use them :russ:
