Lebron took bums to the finals but that was 9 years ago and they were better defensively than these garbage ass Knicks. A 6 seed is the best Curry, Lebron, or KD can do and that would be an overachievement. And I'm not sure Curry skill set can get this team in the playoffs...

None of them. Lebron? There are no 3point shooters on this team, no midrange players either, no defenders either. Where's Curry & KD's help? Every team that all of those players played for have had an identity. Where's the Knicks' identity? Hell, the only other player on the team with serious talent is KrisP.

Ellis is a scrub? Paul George is a savior but not Melo? On a career years he's averages like 1pt more than Melo, a smidget less rpg, same apg and shot worst. And this is Melo's worst scoring year in a while.
Mavs are all vets - Devin Harris, Deron, Felton, Barea are still better than Sasha Vujacic. Chandler? Matthews? David Lee is still better than Lance Thomas, Seraphin, O'Quinn, Amundson and whoever else was getting mins. The Mavs have ran the exact same system for the past 15+ years.
The Knicks had no set rotation, no system, horrible players, horrible coaches with no game plan. they lost 10 games off bad coaching alone, 4 games off a bad inbounding pass by Lance Thomas (no exaggeration). They're not a shooting team (Mavs), they're not a scrappy team (Pacers), they don't play bully-ball or a slashing or running team. That's the truth. Even if they had a set rotation, they'd been better this season.
Ellis shot 43% and basically had a down year with the Pacers, he averaged 1 more point per game than Arron, are you going to act like Afflalo is some huge difference maker?. You also forgot that Paul is in a different class as far as defense goes, don't just focus on one side of the ball.
You gotta be kidding me, the Mavs are trash outside of Dirk, Matthews shot 39% and has worse numbers than Afflalo, he's coming off an Achilles tear so I don't get why you named him when he's a shell of what he was, Parsons missed 20 games, while Williams, Harris and Felton aren't that great. The

It wasn't like they just barely missed out, Melo has a solid defensive frontcourt and since you felt it was appropriate to name Ellis and Matthews, its fair to name Afflalo as well, right? How much more does he need just to get the 8th seed, we ain't even talking about contending, we're talking about getting into the playoffs in the 7th or 8th spot and the excuses start flying.
