In an absolute stunner Josh Allen has been named MVP over Lamar Jackson despite not making All-pro first team (First time since 1987)

nobody in the league besides Lamar is winning 12 games with our oline

you watch Ravens games so you know how awful they were this season

you never heard a peep about how bad the line is because Lamar is the best ever at avoiding pressure and put up historic number behind that shyt line

Josh Allen wouldve led the league in turnovers playing behind our line

Yeah, With no changes at all Josh not getting 12 wins with Ravens. Can't keep all the same Lamar plays.

But Josh doesn't operate under center as well making the transition for players and coaches easier. And I expect the Ravens coaching staff to be able to adjust for added benefit of a bigger guy in Josh. ..but also a guy that is not as fast nor as elusive as Lamar. Harbs & Todd are not incompetent enough to struggle regular season with Josh even though you'd probably say otherwise, lol.

Anyways since OPOY or DPOY will damn near never match MVP I still don't get it unless the MVP plays 2/3 phases of the game.

Also we should skip past the stat based arguments when it clearly isn't about that. You have Acho and Orlovsky admitting Jackson was the better player / better season...but they awarded based on "value"

And because value is much more subjective, they can hide behind semantics to give the award to whoever they want. Memes, hot takes and narratives all the way down.

NFL probably loving all of this drama after a "boring" SB media week.
If we go off something as vague as value, it’s Lamar too when you consider how badly their offensive line was in pass protection. Any other quarterback takes probably 50+ sacks behind that line. Lamar got dropped 23 times. Both bengals games are perfect examples of him saving drives which saved the game by making plays no other quarterback makes and he does that shyt on a near weekly basis.

Right....but....

Playing under center a lot more would slow down the pass rush and help the line. Hmmm....

Lamar and Josh Allen should do an under center boot camp. They create extra stress for their lines.

Again I never said Lamar wasn't deserving if it was me, they would've been CO-MVP if I had a vote at worst. What I'm saying is Josh had a good case for the award I'm happy he won it, but you got dudes on here discrediting him. It's beyond clear to me that most these dudes on here don't watch Buffalo at all nikkaz on here acting like they gave the award to Geno Smith or some shyt
shyt crazy son

He didn’t deserve the award just because you feel like he did. He didn’t earn it because someone else was more deserving. He was given a sympathy career achievement award. They’ll probably do the same for Burrow next year. Saying someone shouldn’t have won doesn’t mean that he was not great. It just means that someone else had a clear cut better case. You just want your guy to win but stop acting like everyone else is the one straying from the norm - you are. This is something that hasn’t happened in 20 plus years and you’re acting like everyone else is the one in the wrong for being confused while you reach for random facts while failing to explain why precedent should not have prevailed.

That’s why all of you guys standing on this keep talking about his value to HIS team. And that’s what the ESPN commentators said to Dan, this isn’t the MVP of the Bills award. It’s the NFL MVP - and doing what they did just set a crazy precedent just like Nash winning over Shaq and Kobe. It’s going to cause all sorts of weird discussions going forward that don’t need to be had if they just did what they always do. But you got it. I don’t care enough but you’re a better post than you’re displaying in here. It’s unbecoming.

Given that the entire argument being made for Allen was “it’s his turn he deserves it after being screwed for years”, that essentially cost Lamar the MVP. That and his kicker losing 2-4 games for them this year. If Tucker does his job in just 2 of the 4 losses against the raiders, browns, eagles, and Steelers, then the ravens get the 2 seed over Buffalo and the win/loss record argument goes out the window. Instead he left 22 points on the board in those 4 games that the ravens lost by 22 points with at least 1 missed kick in each of those games while all of them came down to the final drive.
Similar things happened with Allen last year though

His defense let Mac Jones get a game winning drive for example :mjlol:

Allen was 4th or 5th last year while having nearly 20 turnovers. That’s why he didn’t get close to the award. 2001 was the last time an mvp winner 18+ turnovers.
