This is not a problem that is exclusive to black women, that is the first myth that needs to be busted.
Women in general have egos too. Some of them want to be flaunted and praised.
There is a reason, "pretty girl ego" is a thing. There are issues both within and outside of the black community regarding black women, but can we stop pretending they are the only ones who constantly seek reassurance and validation? Just look at how women in general use social media vs men.
