I bawled like a colicky baby when Eddie died.

When Benoit died, my tears were more reserved. And I did notice how everyone started behaving as the tribute show went on. Maybe deep inside I knew before I really knew that he did it.

I know this is an old post and the poster is banned but I'll still respond......

.....I was there for the original thread on SOHH.

That is one thread title that I will NEVER forget, for as long as I live:

'Benoit found dead in home!'

....I was like :dahell:......

I literally went in that thread to shyt on whatever troll it was that started the thread.....until I realized the thread had over 100 replies already. :dwillhuh: No way would there be that many replies to a troll, before the thread was deleted/locked :merchant:......

Then I clicked inside and read the first 15 posts......then read the posts on the last page of the thread.....and my heart fukkin' SUNK as I began reading all the posts in between........ :snoop:

Brehs.....the weirdest thing about that day was seeing ALL the big news sites and the mainstream media talk about WWE and pro wrestling :dwillhuh:......at that time we were used to the WWE generally being ignored by the mainstream media and the general public; save for a few random TV show/movie appearances by wrestlers. But this time, pro wrestling was front and center. All the fukking news networks were hot on this story......and they weren't just doing 3-minute 'pro wrestler kills family' clips; they had entire hour-long segments on CNN, MSNBC and the other networks, dedicated to the story.....:lupe:

I remember watching when the police and the DA gave the press conference about their investigation into the murders.....all the major news networks interrupted their programs to show that press conference live, like it was the damn President about to give a speech or some shyt :wow:.....

Around that time there were also a TON of wrestlers/wrestling personalities doing full sit-down interviews related to the Benoit murders.....Bret Hart, Jericho, Ted DiBiase Sr. and Cena were all on Larry King. Marc Mero and Steve Blackman were interviewed together on Headline News. Vince was on the Today Show :whew:......

I remember seeing Billy Graham and Bruno Sammartino on an MSNBC segment.....Road Warrior Animal had a short Q&A on there as well. Ultimate Warrior, Kevin Nash, Debra, Mr. Kennedy and Chyna all had separate interviews on varioius Fox News segments. Anderson Cooper even interviewed Grand Master Sexay :wtf:....and these are all just the interviews I remember personally. I wouldn't be surprised if I missed fukkin' D'Lo Brown being interviewed by Nancy Grace, or goddamn Taka Michinoku going head-to-head with Bill O'Reilly; shyt might sound like jokes but honestly that's how RANDOM those wrestler interviews were :wtf:

That was a CRAZY time for wrestling fans.....and besides the awful tragedy that started it, I'm glad I got to experience it all live....

I remember us all trying to find out what happened then like halfway through hour one of raw someone was like

"They're taking all the videos down." And slowly but surely we started finding out what went down.

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
I never understood what dudes found so eerie about that Regal video. Yeah it's obvious that he knew more about what had happened than what had been reported at that point and others did too, I don't understand.

Because that's when the mood started to change. I even remember toward the end of the telecast, Benoit's name was not even being mentioned by the announcers and all of them (particularly Lawler) were stating the importance of the next time you're with your family, hug them. And @boriquaking is right...toward the end of the telecast, all of the Benoit tribute videos were slowly going down. Should've known something was up then.
