Christopher Michael Benoit, you dont see the likes of him no more :wow:

My kind of guy. Someone who lived, breathed and absolutely loved this business

Whats the matter with you people? You like seeing the King of Kings with moist eyes, is that it? Why the hell did you had to bring up my brother? I still find it hard to believe that he is gone sometimes.

Damn I miss this cat :to:
Very shytty execution..go away breh

Where many murders occur
What's even more freaky is they were going to have a mock funeral for Vince that night (hence why a lot of talent like Austin was there). And prior to the announcement of Benoit's death, the whole RAW set was reportedly decked out like a memorial/funeral service. :merchant:
What was planned for that night if the murders didn't happen? Obviously, a mock, comedic funeral, but what was to happen at it? Does anyone know?

i still wanna know who posted that wikipedia update even before any of this was announced. it's too coincidental.
It was some cac who just wrote that just for the hell of it. Police questioned him and everything, and it turned out to be just a coincidence that some cac who lived nowhere near Benoit and never met him, decided to edit wiki to say his wife died hours before she really died. Strange but true :ohhh:

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!

From the Wrestling Observer Radio Show:

"Since it was brought up on the radio shows this week, here is what the plan had been for Vince McMahon after he blew up in a limo several years back. None of this ever took place since shortly thereafter Chris Benoit went on his murder/suicide rampage and the entire storyline was dropped. The original idea was to be along the lines of the famous Dallas soap opera storyline of who shot JR. Vince's entire family was going to return to TV in full force, including his real-life brother Rod McMahon and his family. Rod lives (or at least did at the time) in North Carolina and has pretty much zero contact with Vince. The company had actually contacted him and he'd agreed to show up for Vince's funeral, but of course that never took place, and no contact was ever made with Rod again. I can't remember who it was, but at one point someone on one of our radio shows years back when we used to have the former WWE writers on during WrestleMania weekend mentioned that Vince, while gone in storyline, would be amassing a HOBO ARMY to try to reclaim his throne upon returning. That was never the case, although there were preliminary discussions about how when Vince was gone he'd grow out his hair and beard and fingernails and basically play a Howard Hughes-style recluse character. Those ideas never got very far. In the end there was going to be a full investigation into who killed Vince, and it would be revealed that Mr. Kennedy (the now-Mr. Anderson in Aces and Eights in TNA) would reveal himself to be the illegitimate son of Vince."

I also seem to remember a story where Linda would be arrested at the end of the funeral and named the prime suspect in the case.

^^^Damn raw was about to be :lupe: :wtf: status

Anyone saying they should have waited until the details were out are full of shyt. It all happened on Sunday and they had a show to do Monday. If they made no mention or to what happened the wrestling world would have had the ultimate shytstorm.
I still think Sullivan did it :yeshrug:

:wow:

I was on vacation in FL that week, so I was like  when Benoit's face with "In Memory Of..." popped up on the screen. Knew nothing of it. I intially found Regal's "memory" of Chris to be odd, but hours later, it was more foreshadowing to what we were about to find out:

Still :merchant: at this

Dude basically had severe brain damage according to the autopsy, everything about it was tragic. Those that knew him the most said he loved his family more then anything, he was definitely fukked up

It's weird how people that were close to him, specially Jericho, talk about how Benoit was and never realize that everything about dude was weird as fukk and paint it as "that's how Chris was". As time went by he started becoming more crazy, specially after Eddie died.

It's a damn shame that SOHH deleted their archives, and we can't go back and read the Raw, ECW and Smackdown threads from when this shyt happened.

I know this is an old post and the poster is banned but I'll still respond......

.....I was there for the original thread on SOHH.

That is one thread title that I will NEVER forget, for as long as I live:

'Benoit found dead in home!'

....I was like :dahell:......

I literally went in that thread to shyt on whatever troll it was that started the thread.....until I realized the thread had over 100 replies already. :dwillhuh: No way would there be that many replies to a troll, before the thread was deleted/locked :merchant:......

Then I clicked inside and read the first 15 posts......then read the posts on the last page of the thread.....and my heart fukkin' SUNK as I began reading all the posts in between........ :snoop:

Brehs.....the weirdest thing about that day was seeing ALL the big news sites and the mainstream media talk about WWE and pro wrestling :dwillhuh:......at that time we were used to the WWE generally being ignored by the mainstream media and the general public; save for a few random TV show/movie appearances by wrestlers. But this time, pro wrestling was front and center. All the fukking news networks were hot on this story......and they weren't just doing 3-minute 'pro wrestler kills family' clips; they had entire hour-long segments on CNN, MSNBC and the other networks, dedicated to the story.....:lupe:

I remember watching when the police and the DA gave the press conference about their investigation into the murders.....all the major news networks interrupted their programs to show that press conference live, like it was the damn President about to give a speech or some shyt :wow:.....

Around that time there were also a TON of wrestlers/wrestling personalities doing full sit-down interviews related to the Benoit murders.....Bret Hart, Jericho, Ted DiBiase Sr. and Cena were all on Larry King. Marc Mero and Steve Blackman were interviewed together on Headline News. Vince was on the Today Show :whew:......

I remember seeing Billy Graham and Bruno Sammartino on an MSNBC segment.....Road Warrior Animal had a short Q&A on there as well. Ultimate Warrior, Kevin Nash, Debra, Mr. Kennedy and Chyna all had separate interviews on varioius Fox News segments. Anderson Cooper even interviewed Grand Master Sexay :wtf:....and these are all just the interviews I remember personally. I wouldn't be surprised if I missed fukkin' D'Lo Brown being interviewed by Nancy Grace, or goddamn Taka Michinoku going head-to-head with Bill O'Reilly; shyt might sound like jokes but honestly that's how RANDOM those wrestler interviews were :wtf:

That was a CRAZY time for wrestling fans.....and besides the awful tragedy that started it, I'm glad I got to experience it all live....
