Yes, that's why we elect them as our representatives. We're supposed to work everyday and pay the bills for this whole thing (ie, taxes).

The CBC was supposed to draft legislation, since that's what legislators do, and Obama was supposed to THEN give the flowery speeches, to get public support. He did the speeches without the legislation.

I feel like you're being snarky, but I'll answer earnestly, as a black Ivy Leaguer. If a black president isn't a net gain, is he a net loss? I really don't know.



I will say this. If we have high profile black people making it hot for us rank and file negroes, those high profile people should try their best to protect us. Obama, again, no disrespect- I'm a NY'er, when I say it, I mean it- did not grow up as AA. He doesn't have the genetic memory of lynchings. He didn't know. It was up to Michelle, and Valerie Jarett, and Oprah to let him know. They obviously didn't. We took the brunt of their success. We expended political capital for their success. I simply ask that they give something back to us, AADOS.

I'm not a constitutional scholar like Obama, nor am I a legislator. Why would you expect another average citizen like you to have all the answers? We hire the so-called talented tenth bc they're supposed to actually be talented. If they're not, let me know and I will replace them and take their checks.
