NO, he was known as "dink and dunk" to the causal fan who knows nothing about football outside of ESPN highlights and Madden. How does a man get called a game manager after leading a team to 32 points in the SB with 3 TD passes, over 300 yards passing and the msot completion in SB history at the time? :what: Mind, Vinatieri MISSED TWO FGS in that game.

I remember plenty of games in the '00s where Brady threw like 3-4 WR/RB screens on the same drive breh :heh: That he was known as a "dink and dunk" player is not really debatable breh

Second, calling Russel the GOAT black QB, despite that SB win, is offensive to Moon, McNair, McNabb, etc.
What game manager leads the nFL in TD passes? Just admit you never watched the Pats those years.

We talkin' about the guy pukin' in the Superbowl? :heh:

nikka it was hyperbole and a genuine question.

Calm down with your novels and attempts to go to war with the whole thread :dahell:

I think Brady is an all time great, the only reason I posted this was because of the similarities in numbers made me proud of Russell being compared to someone I consider so good.

Russell Wilson has put up better numbers than Brady first 3 years. QBR, TDs, less INT, whatever you wanna look at. He is still a game manager in my eyes just as Bradys #s dont prove he was anything more than a game manager. The defense was what made those early 2000s patriots teams (his first 3 years). Brady may have been a better QB (game manager) than Wilson but he wasnt the dominant QB he was since 07 and later

why do you seem so hurt about this? when there seems to be an overall agreement with everyone else

BTW the irony in someone telling me i didnt watch the games when all they are looking at is stats...youre the lebron type fan of the nfl :heh:

edit:

to put this in context, in numbers for you.

the patriots avg pts against from 2001-2003 (reg season), and their record

2001, 17 pts against avg, 11-5
2002, 21 pts against avg, 9-7
2003, 14.8 pts against avg, 14-2
2004, 16.25 pts against avg, 14-2

the only year they gave up more than 20 pts a game the team went 9-7 lol by 2004 Brady was really begining to come into his own as a truly elite qb. im telling you those defenses were VERY good...similar to how Wilson has a very good defense in seattle

it is well known the Pats were a defensive team at the beginning of this dynasty. Bill Belicheck was the defensive mastermind

Ah yes, something between Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Russell Wilson is definitely off, but what could it be? :mjpls:

Nah, I do agree with you. Russell seems to go through cycles of completely overlooked to glaringly overrated in the media, with no in between.

When people talk football, these days they'll say Tom Brady vs Andrew Luck instead of the Partiots vs the Colts. They'll do this for most every team, except when it comes to the Russell Wilson and the Seahawks.

That's why I ride for dude. I have no problem admitting it's not about logic or even how good he is but it's because he's a black QB that "just wins" after the way black QBs have been disrespected over the years.

Let me alert you to something, you are on the coli, and these people know nothing about the New England Patriots. Like the rest of the spots media they ignored them until they started winning and report based on confirmation bias. Tom Brady in his 3rd year was well beyond R. Wilson as a passer. Tom Brady won Superbowl MVP because his drive was impressive and you can go on youtube and watch it right now (I would have given it to Ty Law honestly) but the casual fan (99% of the coli). Second, you cannot compare the passng yards of Wilson and Brady. They played in two entirely different eras. Brady throwing for 3750 and 28 TDs his second year that was good for leading the league in TD passes and being 6th in yards. Wilson throwing for 3500 in 2015 is not remotely similar.

Second, calling Russel the GOAT black QB, despite that SB win, is offensive to Moon, McNair, McNabb, etc.

Really, go look at his numbers compared to the rest of the league, then look at his weapons and come back and explain yourself. Why are you acting like Brady did not put up top 5 to 10 QB numbers from the jump with worse WR talent than any of his other elite QB contemporaries (except Donovan who was on par)?

Let's pretend he was not leading the NFL in come back victories his first couple of years.

The irony.

:laff: :laff: :laff: Brady's final SB winning drive is way more cerebral than Eli's drive to beat the Pats, he nearly lost the game multiple times and got blessed by a miraculous catch. I swear you coli nikkas are hilarious.

This man knows football. Rep coming as soon as I can spread reputation again.

:salute:

Wasn't Brady considered Mr. Clutch til Eli came through and showed out?

Wilson rode a defense that is historical. Pats defense were good, but Seahawks good?:sas1:

Plus Wilson has Marshawn who you can say IS the main dude in the Seahawks offense.
Brady's RB was Antowan Smith:skip:

Brady was a game manager but his level of game manager and Russell's is different

Russell has arguably the greatest defense over a 2 year span in history backing him (I don't personally think such a thing but everyone else does)

nikka had 4 picks and only had a handful of good throws and beat Green Bay :mjlol:

Pats had corey dillon in 04 who ran for 1600 yards.

Brady used to be known as a Game Manager early in his career. But that used to mostly come from Peyton manning fanboys though. It wasn't until Randy Moss and Welker went to NE that the perception of Brady changed.

And for people who want to argue game winning drives, Russell Wilson has led the NFL in GWD in the past 2 years :manny:

Brady's passer rating was never in the top 5 any year they won the Super Bowl.
07 was the first year head had a td/int ratio over 2. Dude has never won an sb as a statistically "elite" qb.

Brady actually was for his first couple years lol

did you even watch the superbowl against the rams?

difference is though he put together a game winning drive to get in FG range against a heavily favored team

This. Dude was pedestrian. Those Pats teams were great. Russ was nothing like Tom back then, though. Tom was far superior.
